A fantastic place to stay, in my opinion - my room was large and offered everything needed. It was not the bland usual hotel thing but rather it was nicely decorated for a distinct experience. The location right on the lake is wonderful, with views across the water to the north, and a deck for sitting outside if one wants to, during meals or just for pleasure. Overall, this hotel gives the impression that the owners care and want guests to be comfortable, and it is still small enough to not be the usual bland thing of a large hotel, while offering all one could wish for. Downtown is within walking distance.

Arctic Lakeside Villa ligt in Kemijärvi, en biedt accommodatie met een balkon en gratis WiFi. This is a perfect place for bigger families. Lots of room and toys for kids to play with. Nice living room/kitchen area with a big fireplace. The upstairs offers some privacy for others if needed and balcony was a super nice and cosy place to relax. The always ready sauna is also big enough for the whole family and it's safe to use! The location is very good if you want to explore the eastern Lapland area. To move around the region you need a car although there is some public transportation. The hosts Pekka and Pauliina were there to show how everything works and they were super friendly. Would definitely recommend this place if you have a bigger family or group and you want to explore this part of Lapland!

Very clean apartments with everything you need staying with kids. Even there is was -35 outdoor house was warm and comfortable to live. Very nice fireplace made our stay here so cosy. Location is convenient to reach Ruka ski resort, Rovaniemi, Ranua zoo, Riisitunturi National park. We enjoyed hot sauna and cooling down in snow outside. The best thing was that we saw nothern lights directly from apartments terrace. Amazing!
