There was a live DJ about 20 meters from our room in the outdoor lounge and party area, but with the terrace door closed, it was absolute silence inside the room! Nespresso machine, good dark curtains and a quiet airco. This was such a perfect sleep on our route to Spain that we booked it again for the return trip (and we rarely visit the same hotel twice because its part of the fun to explore new places)

Located in front of Place de Jaude and 500 metres from the cathedral, this 24-hour reception hotel offers a bar, a terrace and air-conditioned rooms with a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee facilities. Staff were very welcoming and arranging. For example, they provided us with a phone battery we were missing.

Beautiful, grand old hotel in the heart of Mont-Dore, perfectly located for walking around downtown. The breakfast was outstanding—eggs, pastries, hot oats, and more (French eggs really are superior!). Our room was lovely, with a full bed and a twin, ideal since I tend to twitch at night. Just note there’s no lift/elevator, which may matter for some travelers.

A really excellent little room, comfortable and clean with lovely attention to detail. The location is perfect, right in the old town. Annick was extremely welcoming and looked after us very well. The breakfast, partly homemade, was a lovely feature. It also made a big difference to have a private off-road car parking space. All in all, highly recommended.

Situated within 1.8 km of Vichy-Bellerive Hipodrome and 4.2 km of Palais des Congrès Opéra Vichy, Chambres hote Le Clos 26 features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in... This is a lovely little hotel. It has two rooms. We stayed with our one year old and five year old. Florence, the host, was so welcoming and had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and fun. The kids had their own box of toys to play with in the shade while we all had free drinks on arrival. The room was great, stylish and good quality fittings in the bedroom and bathroom, clearly a lot of thought and care has gone into it. There was a double bed and a sofa bed. Great rain shower with lots of pressure, two sinks etc. Little details that you just don’t get in other hotels such as actually providing wash cloths. The room wasn’t huge but it was absolutely fine and to be honest it didn’t matter because of everything else available. Downstairs is a kitchenette with plenty of appliances to make dinner, and games room with table football, piano, guitar, arcade machine and lots of books and board games. Enough space and fun to keep everyone entertained. Outside is the pool which is a great size, and kept very clean. There are lots of loungers and tables to sit at, plenty of shade where needed which was great in the heatwave for our kids, and again lots of toys for use in the pool. Pool towels provided. Breakfast was lovely - croissants, melon, bread, cheese, conserves and even some delicious brownies. Highchair and baby plates provided for our little one. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back and stay again and I would strongly recommend going here over a big chain hotel. It was perfect for us as a stopover on the way back to England.
