Boasting a terrace and located by a forest, Kyriad Périgueux BOULAZAC is situated in Saint-Laurent-sur-Manoire. This hotel exceeded my expectations. I spent a two nights in a 244 euros a night hotel in Bordeaux earlier this month and this Kyriad was a better experience room wise - and parking was free as opposed to an additional 60 euros. I did not eat in the restaurant but it looked comfortable and the menu was appealing. I did not have breakfast but will next time as they serve a full English breakfast.

Located just 150 metres from the medieval centre of Sarlat and housed in a beautiful building, the Hotel Montaigne offers comfortable and well-equipped rooms. Very nice hotel. Perfect location, clean and spacious room, secured parking nearby. Good choice to spend couple of days in.

Le Mas Brantôme, a property with a garden, is set in Brantôme, 18 km from Bourdeilles Castle, 22 km from Périgueux Golf Course, as well as 50 km from Jumilhac Castle. The location is rural but the thoughtful clear instructions and videos from Anne made it easy to find. Anne and her family are very welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The breakfast was very good and plentiful.

Maison Aurinko, a property with a garden and a bar, is situated in Thenon, 41 km from Sarlat-la-Canéda Train Station, 17 km from Lascaux, as well as 16 km from Lascaux IV. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely beautiful! Food grown on the land and served with so much care. It was a true highlight!

The accommodation is close to the historic center and river walk. Celeste’s Boulanger is right around for delicious fresh baked goods in the morning.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Château de Monsac is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Monsac, 24 km from Bergerac Train Station. We just spent a wonderful two days at Château de Monsac in the Dordogne. It’s a beautifully restored historic building that has been renovated sympathetically by the hosts, over decades. Everywhere you look, says “labour of love” and we were impressed with so many little details. Fabienne and Frédéric are warm and attentive hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Their service was intuitive and we appreciated their local knowledge and advice on exploring the Dordogne. We recommend having the breakfast which included fresh flaky pastries, homemade granola, jams and freshly squeezed orange juice. Our dog Maisy was made welcome and the Talbot room worked perfectly for us with its two outside terraces.

Located in Excideuil, 42 km from Lascaux and 16 km from Hautefort Castle, Chez Sylvie provides spacious air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. Excellent location, just outside town, but feeling rural and very peaceful. Dylvie took our booking at very short notice. She was very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. It has everything you need including outside space and parking. We stayed in November and it was warm and cosy. Highly recommended!
