The Moorland Hotel, Haytor, Devon - The Coaching Inn Group features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Haytor. We especially enjoyed the garden and the terasse. The drinks were very tasty. The closeness to Haytor was awsome as well.

Situated in Buckfastleigh on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, next to the banks of River Dart. Among the various facilities of this property are a terrace, garden and a bar. Beautiful location and quite a lot to see in the direct neighbourhood. Rooms were perfect, beds were very comfy. Staff was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The bar was a nice place to enjoy a drink and play some board games.

The Mason Arms is located on Devon’s Jurassic Coast, just a 10-minute walk from Branscombe Beach. Our 10/10 stay at this place started the night we arrived. After a somewhat harrowing drive in the dark/rain/fog down a tiny road we were exhausted. The lovely man (Dan who it turns out was just filling in but did a bang up job) at the check in just took us straight to our (out of this world) room and said "Check in in the morning, no problem" and handed us a pot of cream (... this is for your coffee/tea). The room itself was huge and gorgeous with a full sitting room area, mini kitchen and a giant king sized bed that was so comfortable I would still be there if I could. The bathroom had a great shower and a giant bath tub. We stumbled across to the pub and (although it was past kitchen closing) the chef made us a lovely salmon dinner. Things just got better from there - gorgeous full breakfasts, lovely dinners, kind and caring staff EVERYWHERE. The town is tiny but stunning with plenty of interesting historical buildings and great hikes both around the area and over to the next town (charmingly called Beer). Thank you to Dan, Sophie, Connor and Hannah for making our stay so incredibly special.

This 18th-century hotel is set in the centre of South Molton. It mixes original character with modern comforts and has log fires, free Wi-Fi, free parking and en suite rooms with flat-screen TVs. The George was perfect in every way. The staff were very attentive, the room was immaculate and the whole hotel is beautiful. I loved the Christmas decorations as they were very tasteful. I loved that they lit a fire in the evening. I thank the staff for their attentive, professional, humble way of looking after me. I will definitely be coming back.

The Hoops Inn & Country Hotel is a Grade II listed property nestled within unspoilt countryside and 5 minutes’ drive from a scenic coastal walk. The pub hotel is excellent, very comfortable, friendly staff and the food is very high quality at breakfast you need to be hungry.
