The Moorland Hotel, Haytor, Devon - The Coaching Inn Group features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Haytor. The dinner, high tea, and breakfast areas were spacious and delightfully decorated with an eye to easy comfort and respectability. The surrounding moors and tor were fun for a walkabout. There was a proper snow while i was there and hay tor hill was covered with sledders, dogs and hikers. I spotted a herd of wild horses hanging around the trail to hay tor munching on the snow covered bushes. After my day on the moors, there was a handy entrance through the hotel boot room, with bench and towels to shake off the snow. My room had a hot towel rack that dried my clothes and gloves by morning. The dinners and breakfast were prepared by skilled chefs and were good looking and delicious. I highly recommend the moorland hotel for a relaxing stay on the moors.

Situated in Buckfastleigh on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, next to the banks of River Dart. Among the various facilities of this property are a terrace, garden and a bar. Friendly staff great peaceful location

The Mason Arms is located on Devon’s Jurassic Coast, just a 10-minute walk from Branscombe Beach. The room was big and well appointed, very comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and happy to help. The breakfast and evening meal were both delicious and the bar/restaurant made for a cosy retreat from the grey, February weather.

This 18th-century hotel is set in the centre of South Molton. It mixes original character with modern comforts and has log fires, free Wi-Fi, free parking and en suite rooms with flat-screen TVs. Fabulous breakfast! Accommodating options for dinner especially when one comes without wheels so can only eat in town. Lovely room. A treat to have tea & coffee (plus biscuits) available at any time. Should I ever find myself returning to this area, I won't hesitate to stay here again.

Set in Exeter and only 6.6 km from Sandy Park Rugby Stadium, West ave exeter offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Location was perfect for us, on a nice quiet street with good parking, just steps away from the University campus. Owner friendly, flexible and fast to address all of our requests. The property is an old traditional house, preserving a lot of features. Room very spacious and decorated in line with the period of the house and well kitted with everything, including a mini-fridge and a mobile heater. Good internet! Very big bathroom, fitted with both shower and bathtub and with a generous selection of lotions and bath soaks. The breakfast had a good variety of food, a cold-buffet type, with a range of teas and coffees. All self-serving, just make-your-own.

Located in Barnstaple and only 14 km from Lundy Island, Highgow House provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. New, comfortable, quiet, very clean, large spacious room, excellent shower. A lovely countryside view. My wife is a light sleeper and had the best sleeps so far of our UK trip.

The Ley Arms is set in Exeter, 11 km from Sandy Park Rugby Stadium, 16 km from Newton Abbot Racecourse, as well as 6.1 km from Powderham Castle. The Beatrice room we stayed was beautiful, very clean, comfortable very tastefully decorated , bed was very large and very comfortable couldn't fault it , will be returning soon
