We chose this hotel mainly based on location and reviews — but what we discovered truly amazed us! This is a real paradise for children. Yes, parents are well taken care of too, but the main guests here are definitely the kids. Everything throughout the hotel is designed with children in mind: toy cars, play areas, drawing boards around every corner, a kids’ room, a special buffet at child height with a child-friendly menu, and a water park with zones for all ages. We only wish we had known about this place when our kids were younger. Of course, when you’re on holiday with kids, you’re still a parent — but this hotel makes life so much easier.

This 3-star hotel is set 250 metres away from the beach at Lake Balaton. Each room has a balcony, overlooking Hotel Kentaur’s private park. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. I barely give 10 points on booking, but this hotel is the definition of the perfect service. The lady on the reception is very kind, the room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast is good too.

Excellent breakfast with home made preparations that add an extra to the stay in this beautiful villa. Car can be parked on the premises without extra charge.
