Featuring a terrace, Bromo Breeze Malang by Zzz is located in Malang in the East Java region, 1.8 km from Velodrome Malang and 3.8 km from Alun-alun Tugu. The staff were very friendly and super helpful when it came to getting around places and booking our Mount Bromo and Ijen tours. The place was not too central but very easy to get to with a 10min grab! There’s a communal kitchen which was super useful even just to make a coffee or tea! Great place to stay for couple of nights

Set in Malang, 3 km from Velodrome Malang, Zzz Malang Hostel offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Zzz Malang is hands down the best budget-friendly hostel in town. The dorm room was spacious and had good ventilation. The bunk beds were comfortable, and each bed had its own power socket and towel. The bathrooms were spotless and fully stocked with essentials. The hostel is in a quiet area, but a 10-minute Grab ride takes you to the train station. Lila was very welcoming and helped me book transport to Yogyakarta. Highly recommended for backpackers looking for comfort without breaking the bank!

Located 15 km from Watu Dodol, Good Feeling Ijen Banyuwangi is set in the Banyuwangi district of Banyuwangi. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. I had an amazing stay at Good Feeling the staff were super friendly, and the hostel had a great vibe. The Ijen Crater tour was incredible, with stunning views and a well organized trip. Highly recommend it!

Situated in Malang, the recently renovated Casa de Vie Tunggulwulung offers accommodation 3.5 km from Museum Mpu Purwa and 3.9 km from Tlogomas Recreation Park. Talk about luck! I tried to book their hostel again, but they were fully booked! Luckily, I switched to their homestay, and the service was just as wonderful. While the location is a little out of town, the fantastic service completely made up for it! The room was spotlessly clean, and their bed was seriously comfortable. Being able to watch Netflix right in my room? That’s a luxury I rarely found throughout my trip in Indonesia!
