In the County Clare town of Ennistymon, Station House Bed & Breakfast is around 14km from western Ireland’s impressive Cliffs of Moher. The host was very welcoming and, although I didn't see him again after checking in because I had to leave earlier than I expected, I am sure that the breakfast that I ordered was excellent and I am very sorry that I didn't get the chance to eat it

Situated in Newtown, 5 minutes’ drive from Ballyvaughan and Galway Bay, The Waters Country House boasts over 40 acres of farmland at the foot of the Burren Hills. This characterful property was full of quirks and personality. We really loved having access to common spaces (where we played some boardgames) and the owners kindly let some of our party stay late while the rest of us went horseback riding. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy for breakfast, and my family members said the full Irish was amazing.

In Doolin, on Ireland’s West Coast, the Atlantic View House has views over the Cliffs of Moher. Free WiFi is available. Huge room in a delightful B&B, very close to the Aran Island Ferry terminal. Gorgeous views of the Cliffs of Moher from our room and the breakfast dining room in the mornings. Lovely, friendly, and welcoming staff, very helpful with recommendations for things to do and see in the area. Breakfast was perfect; a selection of cereals with fruit and yoghurt, plus a cooked breakfast as well. The full Irish is delicious!! Comfortable beds and clean and tidy bathroom. All in all, it's a wonderful place to stay in Doolin and a great base to explore the region.

Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre has a stunning location on the banks of the River Shannon. It is 20 km from Limerick and Nenagh, and just off the N7. The room was nice and big, we had bathrobes and slippers for the pool. Lots of parking spaces. Breakfast had a lot of options. We also enjoyed ou diner at the bar. It's the best hotel we stayed at in Ireland. I would go back.
