Set within 2 km of Mahabodhi Temple and 1.4 km of Thai Monastery, shangrila stay features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Bodh Gaya. This place was perfect for exploring Bodh Gaya, away from the chaos and noise, but a short walk from the temples and points of interest. The room was spacious and comfortable for two people, with the option of room service. Our room was clean (except for a small rug) but much better than in other places in India, and they also cleaned it during our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful with anything you need. The value for money is good; I highly recommend it.

This is the only real hostel in Bihar and it is the place to stay while visiting Bodhgaya. It is a bit of a distance to the temples, but there are autos along the road and, actually, I walked to and from several times -- it is doable. The hostel staff are always present to assist. Bed was super comfortable and vibe is just as you would want from a hostel.

And also close to some great places to eat. I felt safe staying in there and the location is also quiet, which is a great bonus for Bodhgaya!

We had an amazing stay here, the staff was very friendly and the project that they are supporting with over 700 students to change their local community is inspiring. We left inspired by the children who have been given an opportunity due to the amazing work of the staff here. It was very nice to see and speak with the children during our stay. Two big thumbs up. Additionally, the took great care of us to help organize tours, help us send a package with the India Post, and organize other sightseeing during our stay. We will stay there again and I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a local authentic experience with people making a true change in their community.
