Comfy beds, spacious, spotless room with nice balcony. Hot shower. Cute rooftop terrace where we could relax, enjoy coffee and tea, and freshly made breakfast. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly, helping us with getting laundry cleaned, a taxi ride to nearby sites, and ordering dinner from their restaurant. The food was delicious and they were open to adapting the breakfast to our preferences.

The outside, campfire, fairy lights, are all magical and you’re just secluded in mystical Bihar farmland. Nevertheless, the main Mahabohdi Temple is only a short walk away. This was my first time staying place in India as solo female traveler. The outside of this guest house is low income area with full of garbage and recycling center is nearby. But only 5 min to walk to Mahabodhi temple. Always some tuk tuk taxi passing by. The owner was very kind and nice person which made my stay great with his worker. It was spark clean and good facilities. Will stay again.

I enjoyed playing with the children, chatting to the family and doing some vegetable preparation for the meal. Food was fresh, delicious with lots of vegetables. I felt more connected here than in a hotel. I also felt under the protection of the family who were able to give lots of help and advice. They helped with transport, guides for sightseeing. There was lots of laughter and goodwill. My room was on the second floor. It was a very generous size, clean and no traffic noise. I was able to visit the Shantindiaschool where I spoke to the students and teachers and was fortunate to sit in on a teacher training session. A fantastic project that provides education to 850 disadvantaged local children. This place radically changes lives for the better. I felt happier contributing to the school rather than giving plastic covered biscuits or rupees to the hundreds of beggars. The location is 1.5km out of town so I accessed the beautiful Tara temple and Tergar Monastery as well as the Temples in the main town.
