Overlooking a huge frozen lake on one side (we went in winter) and a mountain range on the other. Just dreamy... Absolutely stunning. Kitchen was very well equipped with lots of the basic condiments even (pepper, salt, olive oil, coffee, tea...), quite a large bathroom with lots of towels, very nice bed with a window overlooking the northern lights, free parking spot (with an electric vehicle charger), in short, we absolutely adored our stay there!

We also really appreciate the attention to small details — the curtain in the shower booth to keep dry area dry, the mirror outside the bathroom (so you can do your makeup while someone else is taking a shower), plenty of power outlets including an extra extension cord in the bedroom. Even though the room is on the second floor (this is informed clearly when booking), so carrying luggage upstairs can be a bit tiring, but the staircase is wide and not steep so it is not that hard. The code for the key box and check-in instructions were sent before arrival, and it was very easy to access the apartment. The view of Kirkjufell from every windows is superb!
