Vicolo Fiore Affittacamere II è ubicato a Matera, a 700 metri da Palombaro Lungo e 700 metri da Chiesa di San Pietro Caveoso. Incredible stay. We imagined it as an apartment but it is actually a bigger accommodation with many rooms. Everything is impeccable, complementary coffee, there is a mini bar (of additional charge, but not more expensive than supermarkets), bathroom is heaven and a bed almost as comfortable as the one we have at home. The place is really quiet, homey and private, not to mention super safe since they have a very good locking system. It is easy to park in the street, forget about being theft scared, the neighborhood is casual and the cars are safe out in the street, for sure. Now, if you are not comfortable with leaving the car in the street, there is a private parking lot very close to the accommodation and it costs 10€ per day. Lastly, the staff is really kind and helpful and the young woman at the reception speaks great English! We saw people commenting on how the breakfast bar is far away, but honestly it is just down the corner and the food is what they usually serve for breakfast, pastry and coffee, which really was enough, in my opinion. If you are still hungry or crave something savory, you can buy yourself some mini pizzas or panini right there in the bar.

The location is perfect, with an amazing view from the balcony! It was an interesting experience to spend one night in the cave, since it's comfortable and warm. We are very thankful that we were be able to leave our luggage at 10 am on the arrival day and until 5 pm next day. It was very helpful! Milena provided the map and additional information about the town and restaurants.

We were staying in a villa in Puglia and booked a last minute stay to experience Matera in the day and night. The apartment is a great location with various parking (paid) nearby. The service and check in was a breeze and the lady was very helpful at check in. Lovely clean room and nice bathroom, would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Matera!

L'Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel & SPA sorge all'interno dei Sassi di Matera, sito dichiarato Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO. A wonderful place to stay. Atmospheric room. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and efficient staff.
