The location is perfect, with an amazing view from the balcony! It was an interesting experience to spend one night in the cave, since it's comfortable and warm. We are very thankful that we were be able to leave our luggage at 10 am on the arrival day and until 5 pm next day. It was very helpful! Excellent spot for a night in Matera. We were staying in a villa in Puglia and booked a last minute stay to experience Matera in the day and night. The apartment is a great location with various parking (paid) nearby. The service and check in was a breeze and the lady was very helpful at check in. Lovely clean room and nice bathroom, would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Matera!

Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel & SPA is situated inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage site. Featuring a on-site restaurant and free WiFi, the hotel is located 400 metres from MUSMA Museum. A wonderful place to stay. Atmospheric room. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and efficient staff.

We stayed in one of the luxury rooms. We chose it not for the jacuzzi but for the view: the entrance of the room is in one of the village alley, but then you open the balcony door and you are at the edge of the world. Due to this position, I can imagine that this room is very quiet even in the main tourist season. We visited Matera in November, there where a few people but it was very enjoyable. Excellent breakfast and kind, welcoming staff. Recommended.
