Situated in Matsuyama, 500 metres from Joshin-ji Temple, Kowakuen Haruka offers accommodation with an open-air bath, private parking and a garden. Staff was helpful in guiding us to car park and bringing up luggage to the room. They are also conversant in English so communication was easy. Overall everyone was friendly. Location is best and the room was comfortable.

Ideally situated in the Dogo Hot Spring district of Matsuyama, 媛邸【ＥＮＴＥＩ】 is situated 600 metres from Joshin-ji Temple, less than 1 km from Matsuyama Shrine and a 16-minute walk from Miyukiji Temple. Amazing! Stylish, luxurious townhouse with impeccable furnishings and your own private mini-sento. A couple minutes' walk from Dogo Onsen and the appealing shopping arcade streets around it. The host welcomed us in person and gave us a thorough briefing on the facilities.

Situated in Ainan and only 600 metres from Kanjizaiji Temple, 町の中心地 星もきれいな貸切宿 "うみいろキャビン " "umiiro cabin" features accommodation with quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking. We loved the location, the cleanliness, the host communication and especially things like the small touches - fresh local orange juice, fresh local sorbets and more. The bathroom had wonderful shower and bath with great pressure. We could not fault it for a lovely stay in Ainan.

Set within 35 km of Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine and 37 km of Henjou-in Temple, 伯方plus+ offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Imabari. The host is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The apartment was super cosy, clean, well furnished, comfortable with a great view. There is a convenience store nearby, a couple restaurants and the bus stop which helped us plan our trip easily.

Located in Inokuchi, 32 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, Guesthouse tonari provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. The place is absolutely new, everything is very clean and taken care of. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The best was the staff: Taka and Kana run the business, and they are a super kind and generous couple, offering their guests all their best, including some free pick up/drop off. The place is very well located for the Shimanami Kaido Rd, or in general for island hopping. Also, it is right next to the ferry that goes to Okunoshima (Bunny Island), wonderful for a few hours of trip. There are some services (restaurant, convenience store, supermarket) around the area and in the hostel they also offer bikes to rent, cheaper than in other places. Wonderful experience to me!

Situated 35 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, みやうら御殿 offers 2-star accommodation in Imabari and features a garden. This apartment features free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. Masashi-san and Mamiko-san made me feel at home. The property is a bit uphill, so you end up getting incredible views on Omishima island, and there's also a nice rock garden. Food options on the island are limited so I appreciated the lovely dinner after a long day's ride, and I also appreciate the vegen option offered 🙏🏻 all in all, would definitely recommend staying here! Located in Hikino, ゲストハウスみちしお provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property features sea views. The location: the house is at the end of the village, surrounded by a forest, with a shrine next to it, and a view of the village and the straight. The sleeping room, the common room, the kitchen. The friendly host, who advised us on how to rent a bike for exploring the islands etc.

Situated just 26 km from Mishima Shrine, ゲストハウス 西村サイクル（24C） features accommodation in Izume with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Great cycle oasis. Easy access to a supermarket. Clean, comfortable, well equipped, including bike washing and indoor racks.

OMISHIMA SPACE Omoya has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Imabari, 30 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine. Amazing location along the Shiminami Kaido. The kitchen was stocked with snacks and late arrival food. The whole place was clean, beautifully restored, and our host was lovely.
