Hostel John Mang ゲストハウス ジョン situa-se em Tosa, a 22 km de Daizen-ji Temple e a 22 km de Nishihama Park. John and Mari are amazing hosts, they offered me a free ride on the way back from temple 36 (i was walking on the pilgrimage), they speak English well which is a big plus for foreigners in Japan, they also use whatsapp and one can contact them anytime, the facilities are clean and new, there is a ferry one can take nearby to continue on the pilgrimage, they even offer some free snacks for the guests. They have available bikes for free if one wants to get to the nearest supermarket/convinience store, even so they still offered to take me there by car. Super great and organised people.

Super nice host couple, immaculately clean room and facilities, warm positive atmosphere etc. Also breakfast was incredibly delicious. Apresentando um centro de fitness, um jardim e um terraço, CrossFit Otoyo Strength TINY HOUSE apresenta acomodações em Otoyocho com acesso Wi-Fi gratuito e vista da montanha. The CrossFit Tiny House was a charming little abode in the outskirts of Iya Valley. Connected to a well stocked CrossFit gym, it provided us with everything we needed, a well equipped kitchen, clean and comfortable bathing facilities, cozy sleeping and a peaceful environment to use as a base to explore the valley for a few days. We also participated in a mobility class in the gym free of charge as guests of the house and the owners were kind and helpful 🙂

Excellent We spent two wonderful nights in a traditional Japanese house that has been lovingly preserved and beautifully decorated. It was the most special accommodation of our four-week trip through Japan. The house is set in a peaceful location, surrounded by rice fields, with a lovely garden that invites you to relax. The kitchen is fully and thoughtfully equipped – everywhere you look, there are little details that truly nourish the soul. Our host Kenji was exceptionally attentive: he responded immediately to every request, shared great local tips, and even made restaurant reservations for us – where we were warmly welcomed and had fantastic food experiences. We recommend staying at least two nights to fully enjoy the house and its surroundings. A perfect experience from beginning to end – five stars from us! BTW there is an amazing Blacksmith experience in the area, Workshop Kurogane, where one can force his own Japanese kniffe. Highly recommended. Perfect Combo with the Riverside Hideaway experience.

EkimaehouseSamaru encontra-se em Shimanto-cho, a 13 km de Kaiyodo Hobby Museum Shimanto e 24 km de Monjudo Temple. Todos os quartos dispõe de uma cozinha e casa de banho partilhada. My party had mechanical failure with one of our bikes when we arrived in the middle of a snow storm, and Ono-san went completely above and beyond to help us solve the problem and get where we wanted to go. The rooms were also very clean and nice. Thank you so much for your help and for a wonderful stay!

We rented a car at Kochi Ryoma Airport. The guesthouse was conveniently located near the airport and the freeway, making it easy to access our destination, Dogo Onsen. Initially, I was concerned about parking, but the guesthouse was on a wide road, which is important to know when renting a car in Japan. It was simple to maneuver in and out of the parking spaces located behind the house. The guesthouse was in the town of Noichi, where we enjoyed delicious meals at nearby restaurants. Additionally, its central location between my two other destinations, Kochi-shi and Aki-shi, meant that I didn't have to drive a lot in one day. Our host, Kyoko-san, was incredibly friendly and kind. Since it was the off-season, she gave the three of us two rooms, which allowed for a comfortable stay. I slept well during our time there. Unfortunately, I lost a hubcap from the rental car—it's a long story. On our departure morning, Kyoko-san went out of her way to prepare breakfast for my son and me. After saying our goodbyes, Kyoko-san called to inform us that my son had left his passport and charger behind. She kindly brought them all the way to the airport for us. Overall, I felt that the guesthouse was truly a home away from home.

Absolutely the coolest little spot in Japan. Highly recommend to anyone with a slightly adventurous spirit who is interested in seeing a quiet rural way of life surrounded by immense beauty
