Close to the station, you wear socks on the hotel, great onsen open during the night, a smoking area, the room was spacious (at least for one person).

One of the best places I have ever stayed. The ryokan is beautifully maintained and clearly very well cared for. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the location truly couldn’t be better. The shared bathrooms were also spotless and beautifully kept. A wonderful experience overall

We loved it here. The hosts are lovely and super helpful! Location is great because they pick you up and drop off anyway. Nice semi rural part of town. Great dinner option offered at their wee restaurant. Personal service, grilled wagyu and Shabu Shabu, fair price. Shared facilities was not something we usually book, but there was no issue at all, and everything was spotless. Highly recommend you book this and dinner. A really good option to mix in with less personal hotels in our trip. Great day trip to Narai Juku. There also took us to a nearby temple for the Sakura that up at night. And no tourists! Perfect. 🤩 Arigato.

The property is absolutely stunning, over 100 years old. Great location, helpful and lovely owner next door and stocked with everything you need. The outside bath in winter is perfection.

It has a nice view of the pond at the back. Nice place to enjoy the cold weather. The place itself is nice and spacious. It has everything. The utensils seem very expensive, thereby showing that it values its guests. The receptionist, though not English-speaking, was kind enough to assist us with our needs. 900 meters more or less from the station and less than a kilometer from the outlet.

I’ll write this in English such that everyone could possibly get my opinion. This place is surprisingly good, it has a great location Goryu Escal plaza within walkable distance (appr. 6mins). And Goryu is the only one resort which has the night operation hours, so take advantage of that. Plenty of food options near the lodge. I was traveling alone and I had my good dining every night, get some local foods and beers what a great combination! Speaking of combo, this place has two Onsen (Hot tub) one private with little of extra charge and one public. It’s just a wonderful thing to do after days and days of skiing or snowboarding. For those who didn’t drive you should be fine as said this place has great location so you will be able to get back in multiple ways. Akira, the owner of this lodge and a skater from Tokyo, was being super helpful and informative to every of his guests, his crew members were very friendly it’s just a home place to stay at. They pick you up and drop you off at the nearest bus/train stop. They provide traffic information, map handouts, and discount tickets. Thanks to this place gave me the most impressive experience during my first visit in Japan. Arigato！

Great location and big enough for families with children. Love that there were some kids toys and books, simple gesture but it really kept my 3 year old entertained during the stay :). House was very clean and owners were helpful and responsive. Appreciated that they sent an extra pillow when I requested for it. Overall it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend. Only thing to take note is that there is only 1 shower facility in this property. So if you are travelling with a bigger group, shower usage will have to be timed. :D

We had a great time, from all of our stays in Japan Nonna Milli’s was the most traditional and welcoming. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and relaxing, we enjoyed everything included breakfast. Even though the bedroom and bathroom is within their house, we felt at ease and our space was respected. We had a car so it was easy to reach from Matsumoto. Highly recommend to everyone that wants to be submerged into a deep tradicional Japanese environment.
