The wooden construction and furniture gives the Canopy Lodge a homey aesthetic which is amplified by the warmth radiating from the central wood furnace. Situated in heavy snow and tall mountains; the warm and cozy lodge offers a winter experience at its finest. It is a far more authentic, and down to earth experience than can be provided by a large scale resort. Breakfast and dinner are offered at the lodge and I would highly recommend eating both as the food is fresh, and cooked professionally by a highly creative and inspired team of chefs. Every plate is high end and delicious, and consists of a healthy assortment of each food group, fueling you through the hours on the mountain. During the evening, the bar's open with great drink options, for those who like a pint of cold beer, wine, or a cocktail after a day on the slopes. Final point to highlight is that the transport offered both to the lodge, from Hakuba, and back; and the transport to the multitude of ski hills each day makes the experience easy and nearly thought free for the lodge guests. Without having to worry about the logistics of the day, you can deeply relax and and fully sink into your holiday. The comfort of the bed, covers, pillows, shower system and bathroom all exceeded expectations.

Near ski resort, walking distance ~100m. Spacious area for large group of people. Surrounding house with beautiful screnery. My kids enjoy play snow at house compound. The heater function well inside the house. Rock bath is awesome and unique.

We loved the atmosphere - a respectful and welcoming place. The staff were so helpful. We especially loved how the lodge had held on to its traditional Japanese style and feel. The location is perfect too - away from the hustle and bustle of resorts and loudness of back packers - but close enough to everything you’ll need.

It’s clean everywhere. Although they state that only a limited number of amenities are provided in the room, they offer everything we need in the shared place, such as hair dryers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, skincare products, water, tea, coffee, and even noodles, all at no extra charge. The staff are very supportive and friendly. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return if we plan to visit Hakuba again.

The place was impeccably clean. Felt brand new, had great bedding (we reminisced over it at the other places we stayed), really everything was top notch. There was a great place to store your ski gear, let your ski wear dry, the kitchen facility had everything you'd need, the showers were great (had soap etc; an area to blow dry your hair). There was also a laundry room, but you had to pay for it. It was really remote in a very romantic you're alone in a winter wonderland way. You are really close to the ski hill and even closer to the shuttle bus stop.

T Square is spacious which is unusual for ski lodges. The living room , boot room were first class, as was the generous breakfast and noticeably enthusiastic staff. We were picked up by Chester who laughed his way through transporting our absurd amount of luggage. By the time we arrived at T Square Chester had already briefed us on the best powder in the trees and Ramen noodles near T Square. We had Christmas at T Square with staff and guests all put something in having a great time. Thank you to Ned , Hiyo, Olivia, Charlie , Tom and Ella and the Japanese couple who managed the T Square. And last but not least the the Japanese couple have the cutest baby which my wife and daughter couldn’t stop cuddling and playing with!! A real 10 out of 10.
