Unsui 武雄蓬莱町 雲水 situa-se na área de Takeo Onsen, em Takeo, a 37 km de Huis Ten Bosch, menos de 1 km de Estação Ferroviária Takeo-Onsen e 10 km de Takeo Ureshino Marchen Village (parque de diversões). Location is perfect, the hosts are so kind and helpful and the atmosphere at the apartment with a Japanese style- loved it!

続異人館 ZOKU IJINKAN Guest House localiza-se em Arita, a 20 km de Huis Ten Bosch, e fornece acomodações com bicicletas gratuitas, estacionamento privado gratuito e um jardim. Cosy and comfy place, very Japanese style. The owner is super helpful. He arranged everything for our stay in Arita.

AKARIYA Hostel encontra-se em Karatsu, a 5 minutos a pé de Praia de Nishinohama, e apresenta acomodações com um jardim, estacionamento privado, um salão partilhado e um terraço. Old house but clean and tidy! The owner and staff’s English is good. They are so friendly with visitors.

Hotel Imari Aioibashi Bettei situa-se em Imari, a cerca de 28 km de Huis Ten Bosch e 19 km de Parque de Porcelana de Arita (parque temático). The view from the room overlooking the river and bridge. Perfect for viewing the festival and fireworks. As a textile lover, I was very happy with the kimono shops in the street.

Guest House Maru encontra-se em Kashima, a 47 km de Parque Histórico de Yoshinogari, e apresenta acomodações com um jardim, estacionamento privado gratuito e um bar. I booked a room here as I was traveling to Japan to play a Pokemon Go event in Nagasaki. I had a wonderful time in this house and the charming, little town it is in. It’s like staying in a beautiful, ancestral home of a Japanese family. I actually lowered my expectations for a bit because it’s not a hotel, but even then I was surprised by how well-kept, sparkly clean everything is. I shared the house with 3 other guests who are also in Japan to play Pokemon Go, and yet I didn’t see a single strand of hair left in the bathroom, a smidge of stain in the toilet, and I didn’t hear noise at night. It’s family-run and they do everything by themselves. I was coming in from Fukuoka Airport and it took me a while to figure out the trains and the transfers I would take to get to Kashima and arrived late at 8:30PM, it’s way past check in time but even then I had a warm welcome from the owner, Mr Maru. He showed me where the restaurants are, which places to visit, where the nearest 7-eleven is. He even let me in the staff-only area of the kitchen when he noticed that I brought dinner that I needed to reheat from 7-eleven. In the morning I met his older sister in the kitchen and she made me breakfast. She showed me where Yutoku Inari shrine is which I planned to visit on that day. I rented a bicycle at the Hizen-Hama station which is just like 150 meters from the house and biked around Kashima, ate Mikan ice cream, until I reached Yutoku Inari shrine. It is an amazing place. In the evening when I returned the bike at Hizen-Hama station, I went to its Sake bar which serves all the sake this little town produces and I was warmly welcomed even though I don’t speak a word of Nihongo. I tried all the types of sake that they have as I knew I can get smashed and still find my way home because the house is just a stone’s throw away from the station. Overall I had a pretty amazing experience and would gladly visit again.

It's very comfortable here and the space is beautiful. It was a place where everything was perfect. The host is also really friendly.

O Karatsu Seaside Hotel disponibiliza acomodações em Higashi Karatsu. Os hóspedes podem desfrutar do restaurante no local. The best customer service during my whole stay in Kyushu. Inoue-Sama In the reception was truly helpful, and took his time to make me feel comfortable. It is not common to receive service in English in Kyushu, but the Karatsu seaside hotel surpised me positively. A big recommendation for the breakfast hand made Onigiris with your preferences. The room with the ocean view was excellent and I truly felt like a high end traveller. This was my first destination after flying from europe, sot he Onsen (spa) that included in the room price was super relaxing. I visited there on both of my stays. The small details makes this one of the best hotels I have been. Complimentary cake service, ice cream at the Onsen area. Coupon for the souvenir and snack shop, bicycles, the breakfast that you could enjoy for days and still not be able to taste everything... I wish I could come here again.

Keramiek Arita localiza-se em Arita, a 20 km de Huis Ten Bosch, e fornece acomodações com um salão partilhado, estacionamento privado gratuito e um terraço. We highly recommend Keramiek Arita for a cosy and unique experience in a beautiful guesthouse! We visited in December and stayed in the Japanese-styled room, which was gorgeous and spacious. The shared bathrooms were clean, the living room (with huge christmas tree) was cosy, and the free parking lot in the frontyard was convenient. Even though old Japanese houses get quite cold in the winter, we were warm and comfortable thanks to the build-in heating in our room. Keramiek Arita is owned by Hanneke, who is the most welcoming and kind host. She has extensive knowledge of Arita and Kyushu, knows the history of the area and has great recommendations on what to visit and where to eat. Don’t miss out on the excellent and affordable yakitori restaurant 5 min walking from the guesthouse. Our stay was perfect and we wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thanks to Hanneke for making us feel at home in her guesthouse. We’ll definitely come back here in the future!

Hamilton Ureshino encontra-se em Ureshino, a 29 km de Huis Ten Bosch, e apresenta acomodações com um jardim, estacionamento privado gratuito, um restaurante e um bar. Great location, beautiful property, great service and wonderful staff. The in-house hot spring was great, too. We celebrated our husbands’ big birthday there. The restaurant prepared a special birthday cake for them!
