Ted’s Place was excellent. Ted-san & Ako-san went out of their way to make you feel very welcome & comfortable. They were excellent hosts. The place has been furnished to the very highest of standards. The breakfasts were excellent, they set you up for the day of cycling ahead. There are some excellent bike trials in the area. Ted is able to provide very high quality American ‘Speciliazed’ e-bikes to rent for a very reasonable charge. Definitely the best hotel in the region! The room was very nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. Onsite free parking. Walking distance to a couple of nice local cafés and supermarket. Location is perfect, right in front of the stairs going up to the temple. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. I had the 10 futons room on the ground floor which is very large and super elegant. I love the decoration. Everything is super clean and the bathroom is very confortable . This ryokan is very authentic and a real gem!

Location is very good and convenient. Walkable distance to shopping arcade and kochi main station. Lots of izakaya and yatai around the immediate area. Extremely close to Sunday Market and the hirome market. Bed was clean and comfortable. Communal areaa like shower/basins/kitchenette/dining area were clean and well thought out.
