AustraliaReally enjoyed our overnight stay while cycling the Shimanami Kaido. It is a lovely restored house, beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. The rooms and beds were comfortable. There is a shared kitchen which is roomy and well equipped. Salt met us for check in and was very friendly welcoming. Would definitely come back next time and would recommend to others :)

This was an awesome hotel and if you are planning to do some more riding in the area it would be a very good base.
We had dinner and breakfast included in the price and these were outstanding meals. Dinner was Robayaki cooked on the deck in front of our room and included Wagyu, Chicken, Shrimp and lots of veggies. Breakfast was fresh croissants, egg and bacon and salad with good coffee.
The facilities are good and the view excellent.
The staff were also excellent.
We wish we had of stayed longer, but do intend to come back and do more cycling in the area.

NetherlandsThis could probably be the best hostel in my 3 months visit to Japan. The staff is the nicest you could meet, very friendly, good English, they make you really feel at home. The recommendations they give for restaurants are the best.
Nice communal area with simple kitchen, where you can meat other travellers.
The beds and showers are fine, the pods are perfect 3200 yen per night. Of course everything spotlessly clean.
So, next to the station this is thé place to stay in Imabarl.

Everything! The apartment is very comfortable, clean, well equipped (has a kitchenette with all types of utensils), and has the best view to the Hakata Beach! The owners are very friendly and offered delicious welcome drink made with local citrus syrup. The apartment is a few minutes walk to the inter-island bus stop and across from the bicycle rental center, making it easily accessible.
One night stay was too short... a minimum two nights would have been much better! Definitely coming back here again.

We cycled the Shimanami Kaido from Imabari to Omishima and stayed for a night. The accommodation is really close to the famous Oyamazumi Shrine (the netflix show 'Let's Get Divorced' had a scene here). Lawson is right around the corner too. Not hotel related but if you're cycling, it's a good 25-minute uphill cycle, so brace yourself for it. But when you return to the "main" area where Roadside Station Tatara Shimanami Park is, then you'll enjoy the smooth ride down.

We feel Sawaki provided an excellent opportunity to experience authentic Japanese lodging so distinctly different from more modern, western style accommodations. We almost felt transported to another time and believe the experience was something we could never find in our own country. It has been a high point in our visit to Japan.

The hotel was very centrally located. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The hotel accommodations were basic, but they offered any additional services or items in the front which you could easily take with you up to your room. I appreciate this method as it reduces waste per room. The breakfast was EXCELLENT and I felt safe parking my bicycle. Would definitely stay here again if I come through Imabari.

Cyclo Ne Ie is what you would expect in bike-themed accommodations...and more! The staff are passionate about bike touring. They were also friendly and able to converse in English. Masa was able to provide helpful tips/recommendations on where to ride after Shimanami Kaido and provided specific pointers on completing the Setouchi Triangle. Their blog online was useful for trip planning. The place was clean. They had resources prepared to answer anticipated questions (e.g. where to eat, etc.).
