The hotel has an Onsen-like spa, which I really enjoyed. Nice athmosphere.

This unique ryokan is perfectly situated to explore the Iya Valley from. Whether you're on foot or have a car. I travelled on foot, walking to the vine bridge which is only 4 minutes away. The bus stop it literally across the road from the entrance. Family run and very well managed. There are a few breathtakingly stunning onsens you can visit as a day visitor in the valley.

We enjoyed our stay a lot and I can also recommend staying a bit longer in order to fully breathe in the place and its surroundings. It is a very laid back and quiet area but perfect to relax especially after cruising through Tokyo and Kyoto or other crowded places in Japan. We did not want to leave!

This is a lovely spacious apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and even a deep hot tub to soak after a long day. The apartment was extremely clean. And the owner is very helpful and easy to contact. While I don't expect people in another country to speak my language, we were very happy that the owner spoke excellent English. We liked it so much we are coming back again after our pilgrimage around Shikoku.

Lovely host, the breakfast is amazing, wonderful traditional atmosphere, everything is taken care of! Host also speaks perfect English.

Located in Shishikui, 2.9 km from Shirahama Beach, Pension Shishikui provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. The location of this hotel was exceptional. The breakfast was absolutely some of the best that I had in Japan - complete with homemade breads, granola, and more. The staff was also very kind to us, even for those folks that there was a language barrier. I honestly just loved this place!
