I Naka, bare 36 kilometer fra Tokushima stasjon og 12 kilometer fra Tairyu-ji-tempelet ligger いやし亭 心空. After a long and strenuous hike through the mountains and visiting the temples, taking a ropeway down and walking a few meters to this inn is such a treat! The onsen-style bath was quite hot, the way I like it and really takes the day’s soreness away. All toiletries are provided as amenities so no need to worry! Coin laundry is the standard fair price, they have snacks for sale if you don’t want to go to the nearby convenience store (they have a bike you can use if you want). The room is the traditional tatami mat with ground seating and the room is quite spacious! The bed is more western-style in that they are raised with ample cushioning. The AC works really well and the room can be heated and cooled quickly. The host is very friendly and puts a lot of thought behind the guests’ experience. Overall, I really enjoyed this stay and will cherish the memory throughout the rest of my pilgrimage.

Stedet ligger fredelig til rett ved tempel 11. Det var bare pilgrimer som overnattet her, alle én natt. Det er utrolig rent overalt, gode senger, stille og rolig. Eier av stedet tok kontakt og kom med gode forslag til hva jeg kunne gjøre siden jeg selv ikke var pilgrim. Det var jeg veldig takknemlig for, han introduserte meg også for et par japanere, det satte jeg også veldig stor pris på. Jeg fikk låne gratis en fantastisk fin sykkel, det var flere å velge mellom. Det er en kort sykketur til supermarked. Skogen bak er veldig vakker og det er en nydelig tur til tempel 12. Det er også fint å sykle herfra til tempel 10. Fint kjøkken.

COSMOS Iya Valley tilbyr rom med klimaanlegg i Oboke Iya Onsen-kyo i Akano, bare 47 kilometer fra Mannou-parken. I liked everything about this accommodation. It was very clean, had all the amenities, and the bed was very comfortable. It’s a beautiful traditional guesthouse surrounding by nature, small gorge and tea plantation. I don’t know why people were complaining about the distance between the station and the guesthouse, the walk in between the station and the guesthouse is beautiful and refreshing. It’s just a beautiful valley with beautiful scenic views from every side. The owner also offered a pick up and drop off service. His family also picked me and other travelers for the local Yokai festival and I had an amazing time at the festival. I highly recommend this guesthouse. Due to time constraints, I couldn’t do the kayaking activity with the owner but next time I come back, I will definitely do. Thank you.

I Miyoshi, 37 kilometer fra Tsurugi-san Chairlift, ligger Iya Kankou Ryokan, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en fellesstue. Du har tilgang til gratis WiFi. The best location for Kazurabashi, able to walk there for 5 min. The meal also very nice.

The guesthouse was an excellent combination of Japanese and Scandinavian style. All the amenities you want, cosy setting in a very quiet and relaxing environment.

I Kaiyo, 8,2 kilometer fra Mollusco Mugi-museet, ligger 大砂荘 OZUNA CAMP and LODGE, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en fellesstue. It' s the best I have ever stayed in guest house. I like it very much!

This is a lovely spacious apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and even a deep hot tub to soak after a long day. The apartment was extremely clean. And the owner is very helpful and easy to contact. While I don't expect people in another country to speak my language, we were very happy that the owner spoke excellent English. We liked it so much we are coming back again after our pilgrimage around Shikoku.

I Minamicho, 48 kilometer fra Tokushima stasjon, ligger Ichi The Hostel, som har en hage, privat parkering, en fellesstue og en terrasse. The place is beautifully decorated and at the same time super comfortable. Very spacious kitchen with everything you need if you want to cook. Lovely terrace to hang out (and also to easily hang up washed clothes), looking at the 23rd temple Yakuoji, which is lit up at night. Staff very welcoming and space to park bicycles. Super.comfy bed. It is a great place and town to stay for more than a day to have a rest. There is an onsen (faster by bicycle) with the pool in front of the ocean and they serve pretty good food (sashimi included!) and accept cards. There is a natural arch to visit next to this onsen and the town itself is really lovely, it had a special vibe, with the traditional houses and the culture regarding the seaturtles that go to lay eggs. Loved the exhibition of the cyclist couple that is put in the living room.

Place to go if you want to experience japanese hospitality! Yukiko, the owner, is very welcoming, nice and super helpful. The house is very beautiful, you'll find japanese-style rooms with tatami floors and it is super clean. Yukiko also is a great cook, her meals are incredible, always fresh and prepared so nicely. Make sure to have dinner as well or you don't want to skip that!

I Shishikui, 2,9 kilometer fra Shirarahama-stranden, ligger Pension Shishikui, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, et privat strandområde og en terrasse. The location of this hotel was exceptional. The breakfast was absolutely some of the best that I had in Japan - complete with homemade breads, granola, and more. The staff was also very kind to us, even for those folks that there was a language barrier. I honestly just loved this place!
