The owner is very friendly and helpful, easily arranging taxis and safari trips. He even told me about a free Ayurvedic hospital where I received treatment for my injury. He also arranged a complimentary breakfast for all the guests and neighbors on New Year's morning. I highly recommend this pla ce.

Menawarkan taman, Thomasha Homestay & Tuk Tuk Tour terletak di Wellawaya di kawasan Monaragala District, 34km dari Jambatan Demodara Nine Arch dan 6.9km dari Buduruwagala Temple. Wellawaya and it's surroundings are really beautiful and off the beaten track, but what really made my stay so good was the warm welcome I received from Thomasha and his family. Thomasha took me to see a nearby Temple and gave me some really useful tips on how to visit Diyaluma waterfalls by bus the next day. He was even so kind to drop me off in the city centre in the evening so I could have a walk around and took me to the bus stop on the day I left. I also had one delicious dinner at the homestay, and had the best pumpkin curry ever! I asked for a bed with a mosquito net and Thomasha accomodated my request. The room was simple but clean, with a nice balcony. I would really recommend this place to all my friends! I booked for one night, but stayed two... And could have stayed longer!

Manager was great all the staff were incredibly friendly and supportive for us. They went beyond for services for the price we paid. My family would visit this place forever. Decided that this is our place of stay for the rest of trips to katharagama

They even prepared a cake for my friends birthday. The entire family is so open and welcoming and the room is nice and clean. The cherry on top is that if you are lucky enough you can wake up with an elephant in the garden, stealing the coconut from the tree. They organised the safari for us and it was an amazing experience, with a safe and experienced driver. He knows where to go to have good chance to spot a leopard, and we did! They even offered us a night ride on the elephant road, and it was very very good! We saw a big tusker elephant. Highly recommended!

The family who runs it was incredibly kind and helpful. We felt very comfortable. We had a beautiful terrace. The accommodation is very nicely furnished and absolutely clean. There was even a kettle and a fridge. We would have liked to stay longer. The safari that the owners organised for us was particularly good. They work with an extremely good guide who spotted every animal, no matter how small or large, that we would not have seen at first glance. A great experience! We saw several elephants, a leopard and lots of other beautiful animals.
