Located in the heart of the city of Wellington,The Marion Hostel offers a range of backpacker accommodation and features a rooftop terrace. The place was very clean, warm, and comfortable. The facilities were amazing, including a very well-equipped kitchen. You could take a hot shower, and there was plenty of space for your towels and clothes. The people there were also very friendly. Another great feature was the on-site laundry service, which was very convenient.

Home cooked. Served by the owner. The rooms were old fashioned and EXCELLENT. We got the 'big room' with the ensuite. This place is wonderful and they could charge double. Truly fantastic. Hosts are great too and chatty and huge fun. LOVED IT.

Our host, Peter, was incredibly kind, generous, and knowledgeable about the best things to see and do in New Zealand. We arrived before the official check-in time, and he kindly let us park our car and leave some of our belongings in the room while he was still finishing the cleaning, which allowed us to take the train into Wellington City Centre without any hassle. We only stayed for one night, but it was truly the perfect stopover!
