Apartment is located in walking distance from the airport, or just one stop away from the metro station. With the same metro you can go to Porto center in half an hour. The landlady is very helpful, communication regarding the self check in and the arrival time was top.

I travelled with some friends and we had to check out very early in the morning, way before opening hours for breakfast. Because of this, we asked at the reception the evening before if we could have it to take away, not really having high hopes, though. The next morning it was Paolo's shift and he was kind enough to arrange everything for us. He was also genuinely disappointed that he couldn't prepare a better meal for us, although we found it to be more than we needed or we could ask for. And it was Paolo too that gave us a really nice recommendation for the next albergue, which turned out to be as good as he said. 11 out of 10 stars for staff: Paolo and his colleagues :)

I highly recommend staying at Smiling Places Guesthouse. The varmest welcome - and send off by the lovely and helpful hosts. I was walking the Camino so sadly only stayed one night. Beautiful and immaculate rooms. Delicious breakfast and great facilities both indoor and outside (pool,terrasse/garden). I would definitely stay again and cannot remmomend it highly enough.

Very nice stop on the camino with everything you need after a day of walking. Clean and spacious bathrooms and showers, ability to handwash and dry laundry and a nice garden. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. The host was also very friendly and helpful. For other camino walkers: I recommend staying in Fão instead of Esposende. Very cute little "old town" if you prefer that kind of feel.

The pool was very nice, very clean rooms. The staff was so great and thoughtful with everything. We really enjoyed the dinner that the host made especially for the pilgrims.
