Set within the Fagaras mountain range of the Carpathians, Piscul Negru Hotel is situated on the famous Transfagarasan Road. Friendly staff, fair prices, good location, very clean. The room we stayed in was newly renovated and very modern. We did not have time to stay for breakfast so they prepared a package for us. Also once I got home I realized I had forgotten something in the room and they were very helpful to solve this for me.

The apartment was excellent and very well-equipped. We picked this town to visit looking at online maps as a stop off point on the drive between Sibiu and Bucharest. We were very pleasantly surprised when walking along the main strip. There was a beautiful church which was being renovated in the town that we visited with an incredible mix of architectural styles.

Povestea din Munti exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Anka was so very friendly and attentive to us. The room and common areas were more than clean - they were spotless. It was a pleasure to chat with her and I could tell that she has a lot of pride in her place, and it shows. The rooms were decorated very well and gardens were meticulously maintained. Also, since it was over 33 degrees during the day, the air conditioner was worked great and was very much appreciated. Other than that, the location of Povestea din Munti was perfect for what we had planned for our trip. I highly recommend staying here.

The owner was nice and available for us at any time.
