To boot, the weather was just clement enough to award for some great lagoon swimming, along with the pelicans. There's heaps of things to do and see around, but I doubt that you will wish to leave the place for long. Bring your next favorite book along or borrow from the lodge's library. What makes the place extra special is the staff, to begin with the French owners. Thank you, Babakar and Khassim, for some great chats and insights into Senegalese society, Jean Baptiste, Awa and Yvonne for graciously serving the meals and drinks, Marie and Agnes for the local craftsmanship, Ass for deftly steering the pirogue. I'm sure I forgot names here, but there was not one person in the staff for which anything was too much to ask. I will always remember the giant baobab and those soft, enchanted nights. Go alone or bring someone special, if you do. I know I will next time.

Would book any time again! You can also book dinner which is prepared by an amazing cook. I would recommend to do so.

Clean and spacious room, with mosquito nets over the beds that allowed us to sleep peacefully. The only place where we didn't find any mosquitoes. The owner helped us with everything.
