Wow!! This small guesthouse is amazing and the personal service provided on-site by Pond is simply superb! The hospitality is by far the best we've had in Thailand, and far exceeds that provided by other expensive high-class hotels. The coffee is excellent...great beans and well brewed...and the accompanying breakfast ideal. The on-site host is SO friendly, supportive and generous, and we felt so relaxed staying here. The rooms are large and extremely clean, and the entire place has a relaxed funky vibe. We've thoroughly enjoyed the balcony looking over the river, particularly at night time, with a great view of the bridge and temple. The location is excellent, especially on market night, and offers quick access to one of the best and authentic markets in Thailand - far better than those in Chaing Mai and Bangkok. So convenient and just around the corner so there is no noise. Also, its a quick stroll along the river to all the major attractions, or you can grab a taxi/grab. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Phitsanulok. This place is a gem and it deserves far more than five stars for the superb level of hospitality provided on-site by Pond. Mark is a great host, he wants everyone to enjoy their stay and meet each other, which is really great, in particular when you are travelling solo! I loved the vibe and Mark's recommendations (food but also places to visit), in particular the visit to Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew, and thanks to the sign he gave me I was able to come back hitchhiking very easily
