Zur Alten Mine is situated 5 km outside of Graskop. Guests can walk around the dam in the gardens or hike up to the old mine. Owner was very nice, giving us lots of advice and information. Able to prepare an early breakfast for us too as we planned a busy day

The location near Hoedspruit was ideal, not to busy but close enough for easy towntrips. The staff was extremely friendly, I sprained my ankle during my stay and they even remembered when I bumped in to them again later that week in town. Location in a very quiet place, surrounded by nature and specious cleanest facility. The host was friendly and helpful and customer centric. I will definitely revisit this facility.

The ambience was welcomed after a long drive. The gardens are lovely. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast was exceptional. The host makes you feel like you’re home.

From the incredible views, top class breakfast and dinner prepared by the chef, beautiful room (we were given the family room upgrade- spectacular!) and most of all kindness of the Hosts Martie and Ben who were so lovely and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The pool is really nice, sunset views from the water and the surrounding area is great. It has a sunrise viewing area just a few mins walk and then a great walking trail right from the lodge (about an hour walk). Thank you to Martie, Ben, chef and all the team - this lodge is stunning!
