As the first staff there told us: “welcome to your new home”, we felt like home during 5 nights. We came for a wedding and we absolutely lived everything of the stay. The room was amazing, I slept so well. All the staff were always nice and arranging towards us!

From the moment we touched down in Victoria Falls, we were enveloped in the amazing hospitality of Courtney Lodge, its incredible owner Clive and his wonderful team. From being received at the airport with the warmest of welcomes, we were brought to the incredible property in the heart of Victoria Falls village. The property is an amazing reflection of the owners (Clive and his partner Leslie), and their fascinating lives. Clive is an exceptionally knowledgeable host, and can recommend all kind of incredible and unique experiences and excursions. With a background in construction and hospitality, they have infused Courtney Lodge with the kinds of personal touch, care and attention that make the difference between a good experience and an absolutely exceptional one. As an example, I ordered a Margarita at the bar and although the bartender did not have triple sec/cointreau and had never made one before, the next night he offered us margaritas as our cocktail of choice. So earlier that day, he acquired the ingredients and learned how to make it… and if it wasn’t just the most perfect example… and the kindness and consideration behind the gesture made it that much more special. And that’s just one example of the hundreds of little thoughtful gestures we experienced during what was nothing short of a magical stay. Besides the exceptional hospitality (delicious home cooked breakfast aside), Courtney lodge is so tastefully decorated, with gorgeous lush tropical gardens, and is decorated to an beautiful standard, while giving you the feeling of being at a family home instead of just another generic hotel. This is hospitality at its absolute finest. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Thank you to our hosts, Taku and the rest of the amazing staff. We will return for sure!

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. Bayete Lodge was a great stop for our trip to Zimbabwe and it's in a good location. All the staff were so polite, welcoming and helpful. The food was fantastic. Breakfast was opened earlier than scheduled on several mornings when guests had early pick ups and they vary the hot specials offered every other day which was nice. We also had dinner at the hotel which was very good. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Thoroughly recommend it.
