Aeroparque Jorge Newbery Airport (AEP) Information
Location and Transport
Aeroparque Jorge Newbery Airport sits just over a mile (2 kilometres) from central Buenos Aires. A number of public buses run from just outside the airport and take around 40 minutes to reach the city centre. A quicker option is to hop in a taxi at the exit of Terminal A, but this will cost at least ARS 2440.

Several hotels can be found within 3 miles (5 kilometres) of the airport, but only a few offer an airport shuttle. If you find yourself with some free time, the terminal has a number of duty-free shops and restaurants.

Buenos Aires can be overwhelming at first: cosmopolitan, noisy, crowded and sometimes chaotic, with traffic and people everywhere. But once you slow down and look beyond the main avenues, another city reveals itself. Behind the busy streets are beautiful neighbourhoods, hidden corners, historic buildings, elegant Belle Époque cafés, bookshops, galleries and some truly remarkable architecture. From Recoleta and San Telmo to Palermo and Puerto Madero, every area seems to have its own character and surprises. The city is full of iconic landmarks, but also of much less obvious places that are just as rewarding to discover.
What we particularly enjoyed was simply walking around and discovering the city at our own pace. Buenos Aires has an extraordinary cultural and architectural heritage, mixed with a very lively contemporary atmosphere — excellent restaurants, cafés, bars, tango, art and an impressive number of beautiful historic buildings. Surprisingly, one thing that has changed noticeably is the cost of living and travelling here. Prices seem considerably higher than on previous visits, particularly in restaurants, hotels and tourist-related services, and Buenos Aires is no longer quite the bargain it once felt like.
Even so, the city remains fascinating. It is not necessarily love at first sight; rather, it grows on you as you discover its different layers. Behind the noise, crowds and apparent chaos is a city full of character, beauty and unexpected treasures — and that is what makes Buenos Aires so memorable.

Vicente Lopez is a province (bairro/suburb we may say) well...
Vicente Lopez is a province (bairro/suburb we may say) well served by train and several buses. A very easy place to get around. There are lots of restaurants and bares for lunch, happy hours and dining's and great parks. Safety was so such a great feeling while in Vicente Lopes, and it is something I miss as living here in Sao Paulo-Brazil. A great place indeed.

Very friendly people, great transportation, very safe. Places open at 2am, people with kids and walking their dogs at that time. It's amazing, it feels like Europe but with the latin-american warmth and chill/relaxed environment.

Buenos Aires was amazing especially the Mercado San Telmo and El Ateneo. The city also has a great vibe in the tourist areas and people everywhere were nice, friendly and helpful. More so, the food was really good.

The location is excellent, very close to AEP airport, with a lot of shops and restaurants on the street. The hotel doesn't have breakfast but they brought us cookies and crackers with jam, coffee and tea packets with daily refills. The price is very good for a 3 star hotel. There is an elevator. We got a quiet room. It was very clean with daily service. The bed was comfy. We took 4 nights there.

Great location in terms of exploring the city but also being close to AEP airport which we flew in and out of several times. We used Casa Lucia as our Buenos Aires base and left luggage there between each trip. Very friendly helpful staff. Nice feel to the hotel.

The location is convenient to lovely parks and AEP, the city airport. The breakfast, reviews of which largely contributed to our choosing this hotel, was absolutely wonderful, super hospitable in an immaculately clean environment; excellent choice of healthy food in addition to the usual sweet delicacies offered in Argentina.
