We enjoyed visiting and spending time in the area. Our most favourite experience of course was the day spent out on the water whale watching, perfect calm day with many pods of whales checking us all out.🤗

We mainly came for some whale watching, but had some very nice meals in the area and Enzos was perfect for an afternoon drink to watch the sunset and have a lovely meal.
Lots of different spots/villages around the bay to find a cafe or restaurant.
A very relaxed vibe.

Nice little place for a relaxing few days, people and dog friendly. Great walking paths along the beaches and surrounding areas. Not a big shopping area but enough to get by for a couple of days. There are other bigger shopping centres only minutes drive away.

From the moment we booked, the legendary host, Marilyn, showered us with warmth and care, ensuring every detail was meticulously arranged. Though we didn't have the pleasure of meeting Marilyn in person, her presence was felt in every corner of the impeccably maintained property, reflecting her heart and soul. Jane, her delightful neighbour, stepped in seamlessly, ensuring our comfort and happiness throughout our stay. The cleanliness and attention to detail exceeded our wildest expectations, making this experience unforgettable. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jane for her kindness and hospitality, which added an extra layer of joy to our stay. We cannot wait to return and bask again in the love and kindness permeating this sanctuary.

A quieter pace of life the minute you drive into town, country meets ocean all in the one place. Beautiful scenery and a great range of cafes and shops along the esplanade.
Stayed during winter months so the summer buzz wasn’t crazy like it could be during whale watching season. Love the relaxed vibe….perfect escape

Fraser Island was beautiful
The aquarium was upsetting - those animals are in such small places it was heartbreaking to see.

Very happy with everything.
Very happy with everything. The shower would inspire any upcoming musicians, some notes reach D7 or higher, including overtones, depending on your tap settings. Would suit families with children. Surprisingly quiet at night, despite being surrounded by many houses.

I love the area, close to the marina, the aquarium and pet...
I love the area, close to the marina, the aquarium and pet friendly beaches and cafes. The views from the lookout are beautiful and the Saturday market is great to buy local produce and gifts. There are so many boutiques to visit and lots of different restaurants to enjoy.

Hervey Bay is a beautiful little coastal retirement town, perfect for those who wish to lap up the sun, beaches and see as many whales as possible. There is plenty of options for whale watching and sight seeing cruises, as well as Kgari (Fraser) Island ferries and tours. The locals are friendly and welcoming, and have plenty of good spots to point out for visiting.
If you like laid-back coastal holidays consider Hervey Bay for your weekend getaways or week long vacations, with plenty of towns within 1.5 hrs drives, such as Bundaberg, and the Bundaberg Rum distillery.

We had a great time.
We had a great time. The beaches were not the best ones but good to go with the whole family and spend the day. They have nice playgrounds to take the kids.
We went from Dec 26th to 30th and the town was not full. You could find parking very easily.
We tried The Fraser Coast Artisan Pasta Bar and Migaloos Seafood Market and really liked their food!
