Recommend 3 nights in Brisbane to explore along the river...
Recommend 3 nights in Brisbane to explore along the river walks and waterways, 8 nights in Surfers to do some of the Theme Parks on multiday ticket which is very minimal extra than a Day Pass. Buy a Go Card as public transport ie buses, trams, and trains payment is cashless and only costs 50c a ride no matter the distance. Remember to tag on and off to avoid a really hefty fine if caught without doing so eg train from Brisbane to Surfers only 50c! I would rate transport being the easiest to master in the World. Virtually impossible to pay anything by cash. Even booking tickets and supermarkets mostly cashless! If you are keen on walking this is the place to be in winter months as one can go along a well formed walkway all the way from Seaworld all the way to Tweed Heads!

It’s a hotel under significant construction, temporary front door made from ply wood, construction curtains in lift- covered in dust and dirty, building materials in halls, room ok- but so dusty- air con just recirculating the dust- avoid. Beds- hard and old blankets- no comforter or topper not worth the cost at all- no discount for the state.

Have been to Cairns before, so this was a short stopover before heading to Green Island So much to see and explore around Cairns and history to learn Would highly recommend as a stepping stone to all the amazing sites surrounding the city, eg reef, tablelands, further north and south, islands, etc

I loved how laid back it was.
I loved how laid back it was. Such a great place with so much to see and do. Will definitely be going back to stay longer. May try going in September or October next time for the warmer weather but overall a beautiful place with loads of fun activities within a half hour of where we were.

Noosa Heads is a great location with easy walking access both to Noosa Main Beach/Hastings Street and Noosaville. It's quieter than both areas but there is a shop for everyday needs, cafe and restaurant.
We had a wonderful dinner at Ricky's River Bar and Restaurant (https://secure.booking.com/locationreview.en-us.html?aid=2378099&sid=5a88f569bb5173a3b627e38404b0be6b&city_recommend=1&entry_point=1&from_confirmation=1&review_invitation_id=305c0b1f11164fdba3e1cff54c479865&traveller_type=young%20couple&&coming_from=reviewsubmitted) which has fabulous food and a lovely laid-back vibe. Our only mistake was not arriving early enough to enjoy the magnificent view!
Had several enjoyable walks along the river stopping for lunch at Gympie Terrace where you are spoilt for choice of places.

Beautiful 2 mile stretch of beach with palm trees providing shade! The water is calmer and perfect for families! The sand is smooth and soft and you could spend the entire day there with no worries. Lifeguards are on duty and provide guidelines for swimming. There are restaurants lining the esplanade.
