We recently stayed at Daydream Island Resort for our 11-year anniversary, and during the trip I proposed to my now fiancée. I honestly can’t thank the team enough for helping make it such a perfect and unforgettable experience.
From the moment I reached out for advice on proposal locations, the staff were incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and genuinely excited for us. Every little detail was handled so beautifully and made the occasion feel even more special.
The complimentary wine and desserts, the private dinner room, and the swans arranged on the bed when we returned to our room were such amazing touches that completely exceeded our expectations. It felt like the entire team went above and beyond to help create a memory we’ll have forever.
A special thank you to the front desk team, the Infinity restaurant staff, and the housekeeping team working on Sunday 24th — unfortunately I didn’t catch everyone’s names, but every single person we dealt with was warm, professional, and truly outstanding.
The resort itself is beautiful, but it was the people and service that made this trip unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be returning in the future and will be recommending Daydream Island Resort to everyone we know.
Thank you again for making such an important moment in our lives even more special.

On arrival, we were greeted with big smiles, happiness and efficiency. We were directed seamlessly to our chalet with all instructions, maps, info and activities we required - very convenient and self explanatory. The facilities are ample to have kept our 3 year old entertained for hours on end. Safe as well as interactive. A cot for our 8month old was supplied free of charge.

The facilities were fantastic. There are so many things for kids to do, literally something for everyone and every age. They never got bored! The park was so beautiful and picturesque and spotless! My kids cried when we left, in their words, "The best place ever!".

This resort is Top! Huge apartments, very nice, new, modern, super clean. The beds were very comfortable, very cozy I loved it. Free game room for the kids, free tennis and basketball, nice restaurant great pool. We regret that we didn’t stay longer!

This is the first time for many years that we have stayed in Brisbane. We had two stays on arrival before exploring locations to the north and returning for a couple of days.
Public transport was very cheap and very convenient. We found plenty of things to do and to enjoy. Plenty of walks and new experiences along the way. Well worth a stay.

Love Coolangatta, travelled end August / early September - not too busy. Weather perfect, not too hot. Coolangatta is clean with a variety of places to eat, and all the food was very well prepared and reasonably priced. Coolangatta is great if you want a quieter scene away from Surfers. Whale watching is a must too if you can, we saw several whales close up on our tour, which was incredible - we could also spot the whales from our 12th floor balcony at Blue C Coolangatta!

Port Douglas was a beautiful place to stay, very relaxing. Easy to walk around, if needing to go out for day trips, coaches were easy to organise. Plenty of places to eat at, Paddy's & Tin Shed had great food & music. Billy Tea day tour to Daintree was great. Sailaway Sunset cruise was fun.

Noosa Heads is a great location with easy walking access both to Noosa Main Beach/Hastings Street and Noosaville. It's quieter than both areas but there is a shop for everyday needs, cafe and restaurant.
We had a wonderful dinner at Ricky's River Bar and Restaurant (https://secure.booking.com/locationreview.en-us.html?aid=2378099&sid=5a88f569bb5173a3b627e38404b0be6b&city_recommend=1&entry_point=1&from_confirmation=1&review_invitation_id=305c0b1f11164fdba3e1cff54c479865&traveller_type=young%20couple&&coming_from=reviewsubmitted) which has fabulous food and a lovely laid-back vibe. Our only mistake was not arriving early enough to enjoy the magnificent view!
Had several enjoyable walks along the river stopping for lunch at Gympie Terrace where you are spoilt for choice of places.

We mainly came for some whale watching, but had some very nice meals in the area and Enzos was perfect for an afternoon drink to watch the sunset and have a lovely meal.
Lots of different spots/villages around the bay to find a cafe or restaurant.

Cosmopolitan with so many beautiful cafes & restaurants.
So much natural beauty to appreciate - the unique Great Barrier Reef, the Daintree Rainforest, Kuranda Railway just to name a few.
Even with a month’s holiday you would still be thinking of a return visit to see it all.
It truly is a vibrant, beautiful & relaxing holiday destination.
Australia has this jewel - let’s keep it natural & not ruin it or over run it with too many tourists. It is perfect just the way it is ❤️
