We had a long weekend but could easily have stayed a week...
We had a long weekend but could easily have stayed a week and done more activities including whale watching and visiting K'gari Island. Hervey Bay is a relaxed place but we still found things to do and a few shops open on the Sunday. The long coastal beach and shaded track are perfect for walking or cycling to explore, including watching the sunset from the very long pier.

Hervey Bay is such a gem for a holiday a few hours from Brisbane . Away from the hustle of the Sunshine Coast Hervey Bay is a relaxed easy going destination to melt your stress away . Great restaurants, fresh seafood 🍤 in the park or a walk along the esplanade sipping your favorite coffee , while you pick up a treasure from the market stalls filled with great brick a brack.

Nice little place for a relaxing few days, people and dog friendly. Great walking paths along the beaches and surrounding areas. Not a big shopping area but enough to get by for a couple of days. There are other bigger shopping centres only minutes drive away.

Op shops are our passion, massive ones here, had so much fun.

Hervey Bay is very humid this time of year. I was there for my brothers funeral. So I will not be staying at Mantra agin. I will choose somewhere much quieter.

Very happy with everything.
Very happy with everything. The shower would inspire any upcoming musicians, some notes reach D7 or higher, including overtones, depending on your tap settings. Would suit families with children. Surprisingly quiet at night, despite being surrounded by many houses.

Point Vernon has a lovely feel and the esplanade and beach are beautiful with people using the area, you can take yourself for an enjoyable walk, grab a coffee along the foreshore either by the path or along the beach. Dogs are allowed with a lead.

Thoroughly enjoyed the laid back lifestyle here. Locals were so friendly and accommodating. We took the local bus everywhere around town. Hired a car to get to Bundaberg to see the sights. Local clubs have a courtesy bus which was a real bonus once the buses stopped running.
