Couldn't find fault with anything there. Exceptionally clean, comfort maximum. Plenty of space to put bags

The staff were so very helpful for our late arrival and last minute booking. They left a lovely Christmas gift in the room.
So clean and well maintained, quiet even though close to the road. A great place to stay!

My wife's comments.... Oh my the towels were so fluffy ! The shower was amazing. A great hair-dryer... not one of those useless ones attached to the wall.

There were a lot of impatient drivers when we were slowing down to
turn into the motel. All honking horns. We missed it the first time and had to turn around at the roundabout and go back,
Would have thought regular road users would be used to cars slowing to
pull into motels, etc. would be a little more polite.

We had a couple of great meals at Boogie Woogie Beach House - which used to be called the Flow Bar. The pizzas were surprisingly good and our large table of 12 people were all in agreement on this. The salads were excellent as well. Everything was fresh, made on the premises, etc. The whole place has a nice relaxed and welcoming vibe. Staff very local and relaxed. We had breakfast there the next morning. Also excellent.

Because we arrived late in the day and continued our journey early the next morning we did not get to have a look around. However, we went to the local hotel for dinner, at the other end of George Gibson Drive, and enjoyed a generous and tasty meal.

Quiet location with swimming pool in the front of the property. BBQ next to the pool. Kitchen has more equipment than I have at home. With everything you want for cooking is provided. With river across the road and ocean beach less than 5 minutes walk away. Shark proof river pool. It has general store, bowling club, boat rump with cleaning station, some jetties to fish from in the river. River front restaurant. City of Taree is 20 minutes away with big city amenities.

a long way from the highway over very poor local roads. Facilities in Wingham are below average. This Motel facility is top class but let down by a very poor locality. It needs a decent service road at the very least.

I attended a VWGA golf tournament from Sunday to Wednesday and experienced a friendly atmosphere and the golf course was very challenging but nice to play. Any golfers I would recommend to travel to Taree to play a round or two. Access to everything easy. Would recommend the Sailo's restaurant on the river bank for a meal.

I really enjoyed the Old Bar Beach Festival. It was very well organised and lots to see and do.
The surrounding areas of Old Bar were so pretty with lots of nice walks. Shopping was well set out. Nothing was never far away.

Went to Ellenborough falls and Potoroo falls which are well worth seeing, then over to Crowdy Heads which is also well worth the drive. The Golf club had a great restaurant . the main pub and the RSL also had very good cheap meals.

Very nice country town.
Very nice country town. The last time I syayed was in the 70's and it has kept its character and ambience.
Some nice eateries and all the major supermarkets etc.
The only negative is the road condition in the main shopping areas was horrendous. Outside Central plaza, where Woolworths was located, it was like a goat track driving at the speed limit. Elsewhere not much better.

We went for the Old Bar Beach Festival during the October long weekend. Very well run with lots to do/see for everyone: Kombis(!), markets, live music, food vans, kids' entertainment and rides area. The beaches are great and we particularly enjoyed Saltwater National Park just a few kilometres to the south. Old Bar would be great to visit at other times as well. Great area for family holidays.
