I took the cheapest room. Nothing fancy but all the basics were present - TV, kettle, night lamp, towels. The blankets were in the wardrobe. On the bed there were only linens. It was quite warm but I still needed blanket. The room was very clean and had its own bathroom. The bed was comfortable enough and I was able to have a good rest.
Another good side is that the hotel is several hundred meters away from the very busy bus stop of hotel Pliska which can be used to travel around Sofia.

My stay at East Plaza Hotel was wonderful! The service was excellent – the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The breakfast was diverse and very delicious, offering a wide variety of options for every taste. The hotel’s location is also great – convenient and well-connected to the main points in the city. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend it!

Location and Transport
Located around 6 miles (10 kilometres) from the city centre, Sofia Airport serves as a hub for Wizz Air, Ryanair, Bulgaria Air, BH Air and Bulgarian Air Charter. The airport is connected to the city centre via the Sofia Metro Line 1, with journeys taking around 18 minutes. Ticket machines are located at the airport metro station. The 84 bus also runs between the city and airport terminals and journeys last around 45 minutes.

It’s in a quiet village zone outside Sofia very close to the airport and has parking at the hotel which I must say is a very big bonus as I insure you after landing you don’t want to try to negotiate the traffic in Sofia .

Nice city with great transportation links, metro and trams, very affordable fares for taxi. Metro and trans were very clean. We attended a few sites at the central part. You can pay by card everywhere.

I really enjoyed my 4 days in Sofia.
I really enjoyed my 4 days in Sofia. Public transport is cheap and easy to use and makes it so easy to get around. I also walked between all the main attractions with ease and felt safe as a lone female traveller. Lots to see - great architecture, lovely cafes and restaurants and so many big green spaces to explore.. The walk up Vitosha Mountain was more challenging then expected but a great achievement and lovely views. I also went on the Sofia Graffiti tour which was excellent.

The food (and the beer) was delicious.
The food (and the beer) was delicious. The transportation was easy to understand. I liked how they incorporated ancient sites with modern life -you can exit the metro station and walk through a dig site for example. Vitosha Boulevard is fun to walk through and see what's around.
The people were very rude. The landmarks were nothing interesting as someone who's been to most of Europe before going there. It feels outdated in some aspects, I felt like I was walking in 2010.
