Everything were fine at the Resifence MARYHOUSE, mainly the confort and new security technologies we use to meet in great hotels like magnetic card which activates all the system inside the room, a nice solar system to control one part of energy, truly wifi permanently connected without forgetting some good African and European foods I I had there . Honestly the Residence Maryhouse is definitely a great reference. Please try to visit them. You won't be disappointed 😊.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at this hotel! Its location near the airport, combined with stunning sea views, made it both convenient and relaxing. The pool was fantastic—clean, well-maintained, and a great spot to unwind.
The staff were outstanding—welcoming, always smiling, and incredibly helpful. A special thank you to Carol and Ragu, who went above and beyond to ensure we had delicious vegan meals prepared throughout our stay. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly made our experience unforgettable.
The rooms were very comfortable, with cozy beds that guaranteed a great night’s sleep. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. We can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for convenience, comfort, and exceptional service.

Cocoon guest house feels like home for me whenever I’m in Cotonou for work. I like the location- the fact that it’s close to the airport and you can find just about anything you want around the vicinity. There a fancy restaurant recently opened downstairs. The breakfast is nice and very tasty. The rooms are neat and the sitting area gives the feel of home away from home. Housekeeping does a good job and I like the fact that the rooms have a kettle and cups incase you want to drink tea. There’s also a kitchen and common fridge where you can keep your food and others. Though I would have preferred a small fridge for the rooms for food safety sake and just more privacy. There is uninterrupted power supply, cable TV with lots of channels, a nice balcony view and a reading/work table. Everything is just comfortable, neat and nice. I definitely recommend.

During my stay at the hotel, I had an unforgettable experience that truly showed how caring and dedicated the staff are. I accidentally lost my car keys, and instead of feeling stressed or alone in the situation, the entire team immediately jumped in to help. Everyone was so kind, patient, and genuinely concerned — they searched every possible spot with me and offered constant reassurance.
After what felt like a long journey of looking everywhere, one of the staff members finally found the keys! We were all so relieved and incredibly grateful. It wasn’t just about finding the keys — it was the way the staff came together, showing teamwork, compassion, and genuine care for their guests. That moment really showed the heart of this hotel, and it’s something I’ll always remember.

Most of the iconic sites to see are not too far away, including the beach! The city is generally clean and relatively low cost on transport if you use the local taxi apps; Motorcycles are as many as the population of people!
We only stayed one day so definitely too short to give a complete review. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cotonou and highly recommend it as a tour destination.

Nature as it is. Almost no impact of the environment. It is possible to enjoy the wildlife of the place, just as it is. Lizards, crabs, and water vegetation are the main vieuw, plus lots of coco palms, mango trees, and other cultivated ones. The nights are silent and in the morning it is possible to awaken with the sounds of some birds in the lake. You sit for eating or relaxing in little huts surrounded by the lake.

Everyone should visit Cotonou, there is a wide variety of local food, the locals are very friendly and I love that when you go shopping, they recommend what is nicer, even if it is cheaper than what you thought you would buy, its museum is also very interesting, as well as the public spaces, with images, people laughing, with their traditions, very cultural.
