The best Manager Ever!! Thanx!! Wonderful advice on how to negotiate the blockade, changed my dates free of charge, showed me breakfast in the market, helped me to plan my trip, rescued my lost binos, gave me water, watched birds from the bar, etc etc

I loved being in this quieter area, but still within easy walking distance of excellent food, shopping, and the airport! The staff was so kind and helpful.

This small town is clearly up and coming.
This small town is clearly up and coming. Lots of dining opportunities. It is safe with a strong police presence. One comes here for one or another of the touring experiences as the town itself has nothing to offer beyond accommodations and dining. The touring options are excellent.

This is probably the best hotel in the Town.
This is probably the best hotel in the Town. Right across the Local Airport, The Staff was extremely friendly and was happy to explain all the different tourist destinations. The room I stayed in was big and comfortable. The Restaurant in the Hotel was also outstanding with great service, if you are traveling to this part of Colombia I would definitely recommend this hotel.

San Jose del Guaviare is a nice place to visit, amazing...
San Jose del Guaviare is a nice place to visit, amazing views amd great people, but you must take in consideration that on rainy season you will get most of it (May-Aug), as some attractions such as Tranquilandia River, el Raudal del Guayabero and Pozos depends on water. On the back side, rainy season means that you will need 4x4 vehicle to visit some places.
Some attractions are quite unique as Cerro Azul and its paintings and incredible view. (Guide cost $70000 COP per group and $12000 entrance per person + Transport cost).
My advice is to travel on your own vehicle, as the attractions are far from the town and you will need either a taxi or rent a 4x4 for whole day, which becomes expensive; avoid travel packs as are quite expensive as well.
