We loved the location - so peaceful and beautiful, and so many interesting birds and animals. Our hosts were kind and helpful and the food was awesome. We had breakfast and dinner there every evening. We especially loved all the sunsets and walking on the nearly deserted beach. Would definitely stay there again and will recommend to all our friends and family.

A great spot in a beautiful location. The hotel has a great view of the surrounding scenery. We saw so much just sitting at the breakfast bar - including a hummingbird. The beach is pretty much private (apart from macaws!) and stunning. Food was great too as well as the staff. Don’t hesitate to book. Our stay was a great start to our family holiday and one we will always remember.

On the outskirts of town-quiet, nice breeze. Family run establishment. Very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, large and provided housekeeping daily. Room 1 adjacent to forest-loads of birds. Great view over Drake Bay.

Beautiful location. Jonathan was super helpful with organizing tours and transportation, especially to the property from the airport. We were on a family trip and our kids are older so it was great that we could have this vacation together and there were so many great things to see and do in the immediate area without the stress or feel of a very touristy area.

Juan Carlos and his family have built a magical place sloping down into the jungle. Your handmade cabina is clean and comfortable with a private balcony that overlooks a forest teaming with nature. The dining area overlooks the forests and has bamboo stands where Juan Carlos puts left over fruit each day attracting Capuchins, Toucan, Squirrel monkeys and several types of birds in my short time there. Juan Carlos used to be a professional chef and offers free breakfast (airy pancake with fruqits) and for $14 a resort grade two course meal. Everyone is friendly and Juan Carlos helped me book an excellent snorkeling tour. It is very affordable for a peaceful experience and is off the track of some of the party oriented hostels. I stayed 3 nights and Juan Carlos let me store my bag for a fourth when I went to Corcovado. At the bottom of the hill near the pirate hotel you can find a very secluded section of beach
