The location for us was perfect. We arrived by car and parked a street away. Parking was possible but costly.
With the funicular cable tram you are in a few minutes in the centre of Bilbao. We also received a card with €4,76 on it and a ride costs only around 30 cents with this card.
Rooms are clean comfortable and beautiful.
The young cats around the house were for us also a plus.
Airco fan was also nice.

This hotel is right off the Camino - don’t trust the link in Booking! I was glad I stayed here - coffee and small snacks in the room, a big window and a fan. Sure things could be updated but that would only be for aesthetics because everything works well and is comfortable.

A great neighbourhood to experience authentic life in another country and culture. Weekends are festive in the area with lots of activity at the local bars and cafes. Not many tourists around though... more elderly population noticeable.

Beautiful place to visit in the Basque country. Very close to San Sebastian, but may have the same amount of quality pintxos around town. Bring rain gear since it occassionally rains in the morning or in the afternoon. Nice and welcoming local people. Don't forget to load $15 euros on a Barik public transport card pass that can be used for multiple people on a single or multiple trip which can be used for the metro subway, tram , or bus. The Barik Card can be obtained from the rightmost area upon exiting luggage claim area and it is very useful to get around Bilbao.

Great location, short trip to Ferry, Very good wifi in room, Max Centre very close for fast food, secure parking for my motorcycle from 11pm to 8am, I still recommend to use locks on your motorcycle like every other hotel. Friendly staff and easy checkin, Bar, breakfast cost 10 euro and well worth it. Room was quiet and large enough for solo or couple.

The residential area is peaceful and quiet. If you do rent a car, it is prefect to get around to beaches nearby, and there are various choices. The close-by metro station also help us to get into the city easily.

B arakaldo is a bourough of Bilbao. IT is a good place to stay to visit the city. I was very impressed by the city, specially its architecture, both ancient/classic and modern. It definitely is worth a visit, say a week.

As a solo traveller I felt safe day/night never thought @ anytime I'd got into a bad situation or places.
People where so nice.I had a mini break away from Bilbao & when I returned it was like 'going home' when I returned.
I'd recommend the Bilboats
(2hr river trip €20)
