A wonderful stay in an older style hotel, full of charm and hospitality. I liked that there was a quiet room for guests to use and the terrace at the front of the hotel was perfect for an evening drink on a hot summer’s night.
Thankyou to our lovely host Alphonse who was so welcoming and helpful.
We had one of the bigger rooms, it was delightful and had a lovely bathroom.
We had a secure place to store our bicycles and were able to wash them in the courtyard.

Lovely modern hotel just a few min drive away from La Seu in a very quiet small village. Staff is friendly and helpful. The stay was very quiet and relaxing. Couldn't have thought of a better escape during the New Years Eve. Thank you!

The town has a large golf course next to it.
The town has a large golf course next to it. Most houses are modern. There are no stores or bars or any other commercial businesses there except for the golf course and its restaurant (which wasn't open when we were there). The town's general trash bins require a "key" to throw away organic and general trash. We couldn't get this key, unfortunately. There are signs on the bins that say there is a 400 Euro fine for leaving trash outside of the bins. Walking in and around the town is VERY scenic with the mountains on the horizon. Very little traffic there and very hilly landscapes. There are a number of cattle farms in the immediate area and in the town itself, so there can be some notable "odors" when the wind shifts in your direction.

La Seu is a small town, and easy to get to know quickly.
La Seu is a small town, and easy to get to know quickly. It prides itself on cheese and other food, and all the places I ate were extremely good except one pizzeria (less said the better). There is a really interesting medieval historic core to the town, with an excellent small museum attached to a very grand fortified cathedral, and other historic fortifications above the town in Castellciutat, as well as well-marked (though challenging) walking paths through the hills. Andorra is also a ten-minute drive away so you can visit another country for the morning. As that all implies, the local scenery, at the base of the Pyrenees, is amazing, but bring some warm clothes!

the Hotel is just perfect ..
the Hotel is just perfect .. Very calm place with a gorgeous view. The rooms are very confortable and very very neat ! the cleanliness is just perfect .. This hotel has few rooms which leaves a familial atmosphere. the Food , from the breakfast until the diner is just great .. the cook is the best !, it is handmade by the owner and with various meals every day .. we really do recommend this very nice , quiet hotel ... probably one of the best we did ....

Don't miss walking around the historic city center, just one block away! We used this location as a jumping off spot to visit Andorra, which worked really well. Our room had a lovely mountain view. I will definitely look for other paradors as we travel around Spain.

La Seu d´Urgell is a very nice town in the Catalan Pyrenees.
La Seu d´Urgell is a very nice town in the Catalan Pyrenees. Close to the Andorran ski resorts and national parcs. It has a very nice Olympic wild water park and a very nice quiet and peaceful environment. You can walk, cycle, ski, climb, find organic herbs, or simply be quiet and take it all in.
