I loved the feeling we received from the receptionist at the front desk. She was friendly and helpful, even with a slight language barrier. My Spanish isn't very good and she explained the instructions in English well. The feeling of a fresh and clean environment when entering the room was apparent. The room was spotless and free of any unpleasant orders, and the size of the room was adequate for the length of our stay (One Night). The water pressure and hot water in the shower were terrific. It's been a while since we've had adequate water pressure and hot water at a hotel in Spain. The hotel's location was perfect for our needs when traveling to Casco Viejo. We could take a Bus/Train/Bike to any place we wanted to visit. In addition, there were parks nearby where we could run/walk.

Centrally located. Allowed for easy walks into town. Loved to be in the first floor of the facility and the breakfast arrangements with the Jazz Bar. Vitoria-Gasteiz is strategically located to visit Bilbao, San Sebastian, Saint Jean de Luz, Biarritz and Logrono. Staff reacted quickly to our request to correct an issue in one of the bathrooms. Loved to keyless 21st century process. Initially, it could be challenging for senior customers, but once you get the hang of it is very convenient. Parking facility was excellent.

The rooms are large and very comfortable. They were very clean and had all the things you need in the kitchen. You notice they take care of the quality of the apartments. One of the highlights was the shower and how strong the water was. It was great.
The building itself is beautiful. An old palace and its nice to sit in the lobby and relax. Very nice building.
The location is also great to walk around the old town and eat. I found everything very easy to organize and when i had a problem it was solved super fast. Would definitely come back.

Location was great, not exactly in the old town, but very close by, right next to Florida Park. Very easy and short walk to all major attractions and far enough from all commotions. Nicely decorated and good size room with all necessary amenities.

A good stopping off place for Bilbao ferry (1hr) or for recreational pursuits ie. MTB and walking/hiking. Good cafes in center of village

Signage off of AP68 poor.
Signage off of AP68 poor. No mention of AS Altube Hotel at turn off.
Dirty, uncleaned shower from previous guest. Their empty toiletry bottles had been left in the shower and were still there. AS complimentary shower gel bottles also in shower tray, which was really dirty.
Cracked and dangerous tiled steps up to main entrance. Lifting up in places.
Only positive for us was the proximity to Brittany Ferries Port.

Couldn't get round everywhere I would have like. The Boulevard shopping mall is right next door providing good shopping, fast food restaurants and cafes. Should have sought out more Spanish restaurants.

Bigger than you expect.
Bigger than you expect. Central old town easy to explore without a car. A car allows you to see many lovely little villages in glorious rolling green hills. And an option to swim in a lovely clear lake.
Too many good eating places to quote. Be prepared to eat small plates in the many pintxos/tapas bars.
