This was our 2nd visit and once again, it exceeded our expectations!
Our room this time was in one of the "cottages" rather than in the main hotel. Equally nice, but lovely not to carry the luggage upstairs!
The cottage was large, the bed so very comfortable the room had everything we needed from iron, ironing board, bottled water, coffee, hairdryer plenty of hangers-just perfect!
Parking was right outside the door.
Breakfast is delicious and plentiful with many options. Great vegetarian sausages.
Service is above and beyond always in reception and breakfast.
After we checked out and drove two hours away, we couldn't find our medication so called back and they searched the trash even to find it...we did find it in one of our bags so grateful they were willing to help. Housekeeping is fabulous and certainly on a Friday night went above and beyond.
We'll see them again next trip to the area.

Hampton house was a nice stay for the time I was there. Jas, the owner, keeps the place nice and clean and shows you everything you need to know for your stay. Plus, he always had a good conversation. Pricing was very fair for the event going on nearby.

The hosts were incredible; nothing was a problem at all. Everything was clearly explained about the property and our group of five adults had plenty of room to enjoy our home away from home. Tipu was the best host ever. The estate was lovely, and all amenities were very close to us. We loved the location and with plenty of room for us all, along with our large rental vehicle.

The hotel was lovely and the local pub full of character and happy people! Close to the beautiful Pitsford reservoir with it's stunning scenery and relaxing and easy walking and cycling around. The small villages and towns nearby just beg to be explored and we wished we had more time to do this!

Nice authentic cottage, with everything you need.
Nice authentic cottage, with everything you need.
It has a nice cosy livingroom with a big couch and a modern tv with Netflix. The kitchen is large and has a toaster and water cooker. Off street parking was great.
Beds and linnen were nice and clean. There are enough clean towels and a cleaning cloth.
There was some mold in the bathroom, but there was no ventilation, besides the mold it was very clean. The matrasses on the bed were not too good. The front door and key do not look very secure. There were cobwebs and spiders in corners which we removed with the vac.
The pub in town does not serve food en there are no shops. So on the day off arriving we had to order via Uber for something to eat for dinner. There was no welcome pack as read in the reviews from other visitors upon arrival.
If you book, make sure you have some groceries before arrival! All was well, we had a nice time in the cottage.

It is a living village with proper shops.
It is a living village with proper shops. It had a small theatre which is a cinema as well. The local pubs are welcoming. There is a good garden nursery. The houses generally are built with Northampton stone which is a honey golden colour which to me is more attractive than Cotswold stone. The location of Moulton is excellent as it is suitable for walkers, also near to golf courses and other facilities. We were visiting friends nearby so didn’t eat in the pubs but have done in years gone by so can recommend the village. It has so much history. In the Poplars there are local informative booklets. So enjoy the area and the welcome at The Poplars.

Convenient location for visiting relatives in Wellingborough. I wouldn’t visit the area unless I had to, pretty run down town in places. If you have to visit, Wilby is a village on the edge and far enough away from town to feel safe. The only restaurant I would recommend is The Stag’s Head at Great Doddington and Starbucks Park Farm for a coffee in the morning.

Quiet village, away from the main urban centres.
Quiet village, away from the main urban centres. So much to see in Northamptonshire, starting with Earls Barton's Anglo Saxon church tower. The Indian takeaway just along the High Street offered such huge portions that our meal for two lasted us for three nights.

I know Wellingborough well having worked there, retiring 14 years ago. It has expanded massively since then and is extremely busy. It is good value for money enabling one to explore the surrounding area and lovely countryside.
It suited my needs perfectly this time.

As far as I know the only reason to visit here is the airfield. Immediately in front of the hotel is a company offering flights in vintage aircraft such as Spitfires and Tiger Moths and to one side is the base of the Blades Aerobatic team. Both were flying a range of aircraft all day with the Blades providing a full four aircraft flying display over the airfield for their own guests. It would be worth a visit for that alone. For anyone interested in aviation this is a great place to visit as the public areas are really close to the aircraft. We even had an impromptu fly past by the Red Arrows. Whether that happens often I don't know but as the Blades pilots are all ex Red Arrows I doubt it was a one off.
No problem parking cars and no parking charges and the Aviator Hotel offers bar and food service to non residents.

The Poplars is a hidden gem.
The Poplars is a hidden gem. It’s in a lovely peaceful location. Staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. We were offered flapjacks and fruit as an act of kindness due to our arrival time and given a map of the local area with plenty of practical tips for local pubs, parks etc.
My cousin stayed for breakfast as a visitor despite it being extremely busy. The staff can’t do enough to help and make your stay as comfortable as possible.
