Above all, the hospitality by the owner, Georgios, was so warm and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more special.

Trifillianika is a tiny village so it does not have any...
Trifillianika is a tiny village so it does not have any shops. It is very quiet and beautiful. The trail to Palaiochora starts from there. It is 5 mins by car to the large and lively village of Potamos that has everything. Walking to Potamos takes about 15-20 mins (we did it a couple of times).

Centrally located village, not by the sea. Quiet place, but with 4 places for eating, getting coffee and sweets and a bar with live music (in August at least). On Sundays there is an open bazaar! Perfect for families, if staying by the sea is not a must! On the other hand, you can visit multiple beaches with the same amount of driving given its location.

The cafe by the bridge very good and also broke up the long walk to the port. Manos on the beach does tasty food and if you use it sunbeds, are free. We are in Manolis which was friendly, the pork chop is enormous and yummy also has good Wi-Fi

We had a wonderful stay at this house in Agia Pelagia and...
We had a wonderful stay at this house in Agia Pelagia and would highly recommend it.
Before arriving, Theo was incredibly responsive and helpful with all of our questions. On arrival, we were warmly met and shown around the house, with everything explained clearly. Theo also provided us with his contact details should we need anything during our stay.
The house is configured beautifully, giving you your own private entrance and the entire floor to yourselves. Although Theo lives next door and his lovely mum lives upstairs, you have complete privacy and your own space.
The views are absolutely fantastic, and the house was exceptionally well stocked with everything we could possibly need. We were a multi-generational family, and the house worked perfectly for us. One evening we cooked dinner in the kitchen and enjoyed it together on the balcony, overlooking the beach — it was a really special experience.
There was also convenient parking for our hire cars, and the location is fantastic. Everything is within easy walking distance, including shops, restaurants and the beach.
Overall, this was a completely hassle-free stay in a beautiful home with everything you could need. Theo was a wonderful host, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

It was very close to the ferry terminal.
It was very close to the ferry terminal. There was a mini market to buy snacks and drinks. There is also several cafes/restaurants and the food was excellent. The beach was not at all crowded and the sea was very shallow and calm.
It takes about 45 minutes to drive to Kapsali in the south of the island.

It has only few taverns but all are amazing. There is no vibrat nightlife here. It is a peaceful place—a spa for the body and soul.

The sea is very calm, nice sandy beaches, water is very shallow so you can walk out farther than at other beaches. I saw many families with their children playing. The beaches have umbrellas with 2 beach chairs you can rent for the day for 15 euros. There are showers and changing rooms at each beach. And there are several restaurants around to easily get food or a snack. It is very walkable.

We love Agia Pelagia and stay here each time we come to...
We love Agia Pelagia and stay here each time we come to Kythera. There are loads of restaurants to eat at, we can swim here and it is the perfect place to base yourself as you will need to drive around Kythera to visit the sights/beaches/towns. It is my 4th time visiting and we’ll be back to stay at Romantica.
