The rooms are simple, but very clean and unbeatable for the price, even with AC. The ladies working there were so sweet and nice, they organized a pick-up from the airport, a scooter to rent, and I could even store my luggage with them while I was away for a few days. The breakfast was rich and also yummy dinner options available. I felt very good.

I arrived very late due to heavy rain and was welcomed by this amazing community who helped me with so many personal things such as organisation of my trip, Oan was so kind to drive me to pick-up my luggage at another place, they called a nurse to treat my foot that was injured a little bit from a hike. It is a lovely community with a very interesting museum of Sumba's history and culture on the campus.

The staff were wonderful and the place was really nice. For this price in Sumba, it’s hard to find anything better. There were a few more insects in the room compared to places like Bali, but it wasn’t a big issue thanks to the mosquito net, which was in perfect condition despite what some other reviews mentioned. We stayed in two different rooms and had no problems.

Maringi Sumba by the Sumba Hospitality Foundation features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a garden and terrace in Waikelo. Beautifully peaceful! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and service was exceptional. After 3 days we felt very at home :) we visited the nearby beaches - stunning white sand. We did a tour of the village which was very informative and we loved seeing the local life. Eka was our guide, along with Dini, and both were amazing to spend the day with, we loved their sharing of Sumba knowledge and history. We even forgot something when we left and they drove it to us. This was not only lovely accommodation but a super enriching experience that we will never forget. Thank you!

Clean room, lovely staff! They’re really nice and caring🥹 tasty and varied breakfast (rice, sides, tea, coffee, fruits, vegetables!!)🫶🏼 didn’t try the pool but it looked good! If I’ll ever come back to Waikabubak I would definitely choose Morika Inn again
