A 20-minute walk from Waterford city center, Travelodge Waterford provides rooms with attached bathroom with free parking. Waterford Airport and Waterford Castle are both within a 10-minute drive. What's not to like. The staff, especially the GENERAL Manager are excellent. The GM who remembered us from before went out of his way to sort our stay. This is a true gem of a manager. Perhaps his peers should reward him for doing such a brilliant job in these challenging times.

Priory House, Student Accommodation, Manor Village apartments, Cork Road, X91W427 offers accommodations in Waterford, a 5-minute walk from the center. We travelled as a family of 14 people and rented 4 of these apartments. We had the apartments next to each other and the kids loved being able to pop in and out and say hello to everyone. They are also a great base for visiting the surrounding area like Dunmore East and Tramore (we had fabulous weather) The apartments had everything we needed and were comfortable and spacious just what we wanted.

Waterford is a small provincial town with all that that implies. There is however an excellent museum district which deserves at least a day to explore. the cathedral, bishops palace, medieval museum, time museum and silver museum are all fascinating. Waterford is surrounded by beautiful countryside for walking and beaches, which if the weather is good (which cannot be guaranteed in Ireland) must be lovely to visit. There are a number of excellent bakeries and restaurants. Waterford city is small and easy to explore on foot. To explore the countryside a car is needed.
Beautiful picturesque place, very easy to get around the city, I would recommend a visit to tramore as it has a beautiful beach and fantastic cliff walk would recommend the Vee bistro in Tramore as food Is top class. Another must visit is Dunmore East, fabulous walks, cliff walk breathtakingly beautiful but only for very fit people, would recommend the hotel, can't remember the name but it's overlooking the cove for food
The Waterford Crystal tour was very interesting. The Virtual Viking Experience was very interesting and educational. Mostly, the people of the city were all very friendly and welcoming. Also, take time to walk around and see all of the beautifully painted buildings.
Waterford and the surrounding area’s were enchanting, we drove down to Tramore and walked along the beach, drove along the copper coast to the charming town of Dungarvan. Good selection of shops, the Kite Design Studios on Henrietta Street is a treat, I bought a few pieces of silver from Gene O’Shea, wonderful to see the pieces being made, a very friendly atmosphere, Emiliano’s italian restaurant was a particular favourite, the tower hotel and staff especially Caroline made our stay in Waterford memorable
Waterford is a truly lovely city with good restaurants and interesting shops. I love Shaw's and it's the biggest branch in the region. There's a fabulous courtyard called the Phoenix Market with a vegan food truck and two other food trucks with vegan options. Fab! I went on to Tramore the next day. It's my favourite seaside resort in Ireland. The merries, Mezze cafe/restaurant and a host of nice clothes stores on the seafront.
My husband and I loved the marina.Reginald's Tower and the cultural centre.I enjoyed the shopping experience in the town.It is very easy to get around waterford. We ate mostly in the hotel.Food was great.Plenty to eat and nice and hot as well. There is nothing in particular i would avoid, well maybe stop shopping too much ,as my husband hates it.....Pity!!!!
