The hotel is over rated...No breakfast as in the booking.Rooms are old not maintained..Towels are over aged. No hot water. Bed sheets and pillows are from primitive age. Not worth the price. Paid 1780/- for the room. It's not worth more than 700. Don't get deceived by the photos in booking.com.

Sound proof the floors such that guests in the other floors does not face difficulty. It is rather better requesting guests to restrict their activities. Rooms to be mosquito free. Provide breakfast by 8:00 AM at least. I got my breakfast at 9:00 AM. Provide proper toilet facilities in both rooms. Expect management a little more friendly.

The property lies bang on the beach and the beach is no less...

The property lies bang on the beach and the beach is no less than a private beach. We were looking for a silent and safe get away. The food was home cooked and the best Kerala food I have ever had. My pets enjoyed the property without the leash. The owner of the property took care of us like a mother. I would recommend this home stay to everyone who visit Kannur. Never seen such a property in Kannur.

Mahe promenade by the river was great.

Mahe promenade by the river was great. The Tellicherry fort was interesting. We did not stay long enough to watch Theyyam. The beach where you could drive up to 5 km in a car was fun. Had to curtail my activities as I had Delhi belly and was taken by my driver to a private hospital for consultation and was pleasantly surprised that I was in and to in a half hour despite so many people jostling for medical appointments. The cost of the consultation and medicine was under Rs 450. A real bargain for someone living in the US.

While the roads from the Karnataka border can be poor, they improve significantly once you enter Kerala. However, be aware that Kerala's ghat roads towards waterfalls are very steep; it is advisable to master engine braking before your trip. If you plan to visit Kannur, watching a Theyyam performance is essential. Check the official Theyyam calendar before traveling, as these performances typically only occur during the winter season.

It would take some kind of a previous connection or a serious foodie or a nature lover on the lookout for unchronicled stuff to com hr in the first place. Having come there there is plenty to see and experience in a 50 km radius.

It's a place in heaven. People are so warm and kind.

It's a place in heaven. People are so warm and kind. I felt like the place hugged me tight, consoled me and gave motivation to take my life forward. It was one such place I felt like home. I recommend everyone to visit kannur atleast once in their lifetime.

Tellicherry is a historic, quaint town with an old world...

Tellicherry is a historic, quaint town with an old world charm, great sea food, fabulous beaches, panoramic seafront views, ancient Hindu temples, cathedrals and mosques. It was the place where cricket was first introduced in India, the place with the oldest and most famous bakeries. Tellicherry pepper is available all over the world - I have seen in in USA, in Norway and Finland and all over Europe. It was an ancient trading hub for spices. You really need to try the shellfish here - mussels, oysters, clams, cockles, squid. The waters are unpolluted and the shellfish taste wonderful. You must have breakfast and lunch at small places like National Tiffin House, Paris Presidency and Star Hotel. Sea food and Tellicherry biryani. Try the myriad bakery items, tapioca and banana chips and halwas at Mambally bakery, Jayabharati near the old bus stand. Go and visit Folly , Tellicherry fort and drive down to the quaint French town of Mahe nearby. Go for a cruise.

We reached Kannur by a Nashik - Bangaluru - Kannur flight by...

We reached Kannur by a Nashik - Bangaluru - Kannur flight by 9.00 pm. It was a pleasant surprise to see the sea so near the property. The stay was very comfortable in the cozy villa by the sea. The pre monsoon wild sea was a sight to be experienced. The food prepared specially for us by the caretaker Mr.Reddy was out of the world. We visited the St Angelo Fort, The museum, The lake temple, and experienced an authentic Kerala massage at Swasthya Ayurvedic Spa.
