The best part was the awesome location of the hotel which was besides the river. You can hear the sound of water flowing even from your room and sitting in the balcony is a bliss. You can also go and sit alongside the river and spend hours without distraction. The staff was super courteous and I appreciate all of them, especially Praticksha.

My wife and I liked everything about this retreat. Starting from the location to the politeness of the staff and the comfort of the room. It was excellent. The room was very clean and very spacious, especially the washroom. There was not a single aspect of our stay that I didn't like.

The room boasted an impressive spaciousness. The staff's behavior was exemplary, with their gestures being particularly commendable. They went above and beyond to assist us, even when we purchased food from outside. They warmed the food for us and provided all the necessary amenities for dining.

Location is far away from gangtok city about 27 km so place is ideal for nature lovers, away from city hustle bustle but power supply is erratic which can be improved by keeping solar lanterns and by installing solar panels with battery back up of 36 hrs. Transportation to gangtok takes about 1500 INR which is costly

Pedong is really at a good location, you can take a walk around evening, i enjoyed veg momos there in front of Brahmakumari centre, the kids playing football, mountains, the town balance lifestyle of busy and relax way make you smile, a good place to stay either you coming from Sikkim or from Darjeeling! Yes and no theft there even my hotel manager going without lock the hotel n yes no one come there to stole anything, he said no theft taken place here, good to know that😊

This cozy hamlet in the foothills of the Himalayas in North Bengal is good for a maximum of a couple nights stay. It has great views of Kanchenjunga to offer and is perfect for going off-the-grid for a couple days but there's not much else to do here. The nearby spots of attraction can be easily reached from Lava, which is a more happening place.

The warmth and hospitality of the local people were truly exceptional. I was particularly struck when a local student explained that even though their native language is Nepali, they make a conscious effort to speak Hindi to ensure outsiders feel at ease. This level of consideration for visitors is something I found unique and deeply appreciated.

The cab syndicate which insists that we take their service if we want to go sightseeing from Rishop is a buzzkill. The syndicate guys almost started a fight with my pre-booked cab driver. The people were extremely rude. There is no TV or Mobile signal. Won't recommend to stay, but a decent place for views if you are going for a day trip.
