The apartment was large and very clean. We enjoyed the big tv on days we were exhausted. The apartment is located outside the city so you need a car. Parking outside your door was always available. Love the washer which was necessary for us being in Italy for 5 weeks. We enjoyed how quiet the apartment was and enjoyed the large space and balcony to relax. Neighborhood is small and very safe. We took a walk one night to an abandoned ruin down the street. The host gave us tons of information and was so nice. Everything you need is provided so book this place and you won’t be disappointed. The apartment had an elevator.

I had another reservation confirmed in Foggia at a different property. Hours prior to my arrival, I was informed by that property that the property was double booked and would not be available... the staff at the Residence Romano was very accommodating and got me into a room last minute!

Clean, quiet, comfortable. Stayed out back. Needed glasses for drinking and an extra blanket. I don’t speak Italian and we got along great.

For those, who enjoy Italian history and architecture, Foggia is a place to avoid. Its historical centre is in the poorest condition compared to 20 other cities in Puglia we visited during this trip: lots of decrepit buildings with walls covered in graffiti and dirty streets. As a "basecamp" for driving around and visiting other cities in northern Puglia it served us well

We went to Lucera specifically to meet extended family for the first time. Lucera is a beautiful little town, not at all "touristy" or frequented by Americans. It is located in the beautiful Italian countryside, about 4 hours southeast of Rome.
As we found in all of the cities we visited in Italy, the food was spectacular---everything is very freshly prepared.
Lucera's center is quite small, so very walkable.

Pleasant and small historical centre when all shops situated.
Very run down train station area with loads of migrants sleeping on street /hanging around on benches...

It’s a nice city.
It’s a nice city.
The historical center it’s the main attraction. There are a lot of restaurants and shops.
Also if you like to visit you can go and see the medieval castle, the Cathedral and many other places.

There are a few points of interest and decent shopping but this city is industrial in nature and as such you have to take this in consideration when visiting. The lder part of town looks alright in some parts but others looked run down.
