This hotel is situated in the historical centre of Olbia, adjacent to the pedestrian zone, ideal for relaxing evenings spent walking and shopping until late at night. Relaxed and really accomadating.no fuss .
The town is quite small and there isn’t an awful lot to see, some lovely restaurants and bars, try InVertitasVino, there is a good bus service out to Pittilongu beach and Bados (which is the better one in my view). There is a train station with services to other parts of Olbia. We hired a car and drove to Golfo Aranci, Porto Cuervo, Paulau and to Capo Testa and then back across country. The beaches and sea views are beautiful. We went mid October, the weather was lovely although chilly in the evening, outside of the main town much of the tourist restaurants and shops are already closed for the winter. Virtually everyone we met was so kind and helpful and some of them really made our holiday!
We stayed in Olbia only 2 days. A must: the archaeological museum (Closed on Mondays, check the opening times), if you have a chance stay in hotel Martini (great restaurant and spa), the historical city is wonderful! There are nice bars, but try to get lost a bit in tiny streets. It's helpful if you speak Italian but not necessary. Ladies -> the boutiques are fantastic! #fashion #sea #food #culture
Nice town and good bus service from the hotel. Only problem was we decided to eat out in Olbia a couple of evenings. Great choice of restaurants but the last bus back was 7.30 so it was 30 euros for a 10 minute taxi ride back to the hotel.
Olbia is good for a few days. Nice museum which kept kids attention for a few minutes. Great cobbly street with a church off one street with the coloured dome and stairs and slopes for kids to run about. Lots of restaurants, bit touristy menu wise but kid friendly enough. Very good icecream choices, (try GAP, popular and tasty with fruit). Good base to go to beaches via car which is what we did, such beautiful peaceful (for the time of year we went, mid Oct) beaches with shallow water and sand.
Not a lot of indoor activities or central city centre where activities takes place when it rains. Low-season, a lot of restaurants are closed so it was difficult to find a good restaurant which serves anything else than pizza
Olbia is a very nice and interesting place the surrounding areas are very pretty and the weather is lovely even in January and February we did a lot of walking around Olbia we are in many restaurants food was fantastic and the wine lovely
